Hey I sold a P4 mobo, ram and cpu to this guy. He paid me some money up front and said he would give me the rest on arrival. After all the stuff arrived he said he would send me an EMT that night. I have not heard from him since Monday, he wont reply to my PMs and he has logged on several times since then.

Its not a lot of money that he owes me and I am sure we could have worked something out. But ignoring me is not the right answer.

From what I understand, he also owes money to another member of this forum in a deal that was almost identical to yours. He paid half up front, then promised the remainder upon receiving the parts. He never sent the remainder of the money and has not responded to emails and PMs.

Good luck to you on getting this resolved.

Here is the other thread about this joker...

The mods need to ban this guy even if he does end up paying you.

Stupid question... did you know about the above thread before dealing with him?

It looks like he'll pay you but, "his life does not revolve around the forum", so it may take a while.

Either way, I'll never deal with him.

I don't really mind if he is broke, or is unable to pay me that same day, it not a huge sum of money. What I do mind is him sending me msg's that the money is sent when its not, and logging on reading my posts and not replying.

This guy also might owe the now banned Soparik2 about $275. This info was posted in another forum. I have not verified if it's true or not.

i personally would not give anybody the item unless they paid in full for it first

Yes, you would if you came across a trusted buyer. I have had people send me $800+ of hardware first because I had to transfer money into my EMT account before I could send it. I have also had to EMT a person the rest of the money on a local buy because I didn't realize my ATM cash withdrawal limit was $400 a day on my account.

There are a lot of people on RFD you can trust, nvidiaslayer is just not one of them. The guy offered $10 more to get his negative removed. If I was Table21, I'd offer him a $10 discount for him to prove he was in the hospital.

Wow, dude, $1100?

You need to find better trading partners. Sometimes it's worth it to take $10 less or pay $10 more to deal with more reliable people.

Not to blame you for your loss or anything.. but.. why would any seller hand over items before/without getting paid?
Transactions should be done upfront and in person (esp. on forums). And if you must ship to the buyer, wait until the funds have been cleared before you ship. A little common sense would suffice.
