I just bought about 6 or 7 pairs of new pants, and I need to get them hemmed. There's a dry cleaners across from my office who charges $12/pair -- outrageous! I think even Stitch IT in the mall is $10/pair.

Can anybody recommend somewhere cheap for hemming? I know I've seen signs advertising $4/pair, but I can't remember where. I think I'd be prepared to go as high as $8/pair, but that's about it.

Location: Yonge St. corridor from Lawrence up to Major Mack. I'll go east and west of Yonge, but not too far.

TIA! :-)

I take my things o a dry cleaner on Levendale Rd. in Richmond Hill. A bit north of Major Mac and just off Yonge. It's on the south side of the street.

He charges $5 for standard hems and $7 for cuffs

Thanks guys.

I found two places for $4/$5 per pair: one guy at Lawrence and Dufferin who only does hemming, and a cleaners at Bathurst and Steeles. I went to the Lawrence and Dufferin guy. Hopefully he does a good job.
