I have a pair of size 40w khaki shorts, got em for real cheap (And nice brand) but now im kinda regretting it lol.. can you tailor these down to around a 31? Also the leg opening as well?

Also, for full khaki pants, can you taper the legs on those?

thanks

you want to shrink the waist size of your shorts 9 inches ? i don't think it will ever look right.

9inches, The back pocket would need to be halfway inside the pants. For all the work it would take to recut those you might as well go to Fabricland buy a few yards of twill and give it to the tailor. It would be cheaper to start from scratch. Unless you're going to gain 100 pounds return/get rid of them.

Tapering is tricky also tricky to get right. Can ruin the pants. Will require skilled tailor, and quite a bit of time. and time+skill=money

In both cases probably just cheaper to buy the right pants new.

Damn, I guess I'll just sell the pair of I have now... it retails at over 100+ but I got it for 20$ off ebay :D

The reason I asked about the khaki pants were cause I can't find any that are slim fit rather than what they usually are.
