Just wondering if anyone here has a dead alero that I could possibly salvage some parts from ($$) to make mine work better.

I have checked Union Auto and whatever and maybe its because I do not know much about cars but I find their prices are more than I would have imagined from a junk yard.

I'm not concerned about labour, my dad and brother in-law are very handy but I would like the following parts:

-Rear tail lights
-motor to adjust driver seat up/down (it makes a noise but doesn't move)
-Hood
-A small component for the automatic driver side window ( a plastic piece broke)
-My cruise control button doesn't stay down, not sure what is broken.
-one 'nut' for wheel

Do junk yards in Ottawa area have sales? I know that sounds silly but my boss said when he was in Toronto there was a place where you could buy as much as you could carry for like $50 or something.

Have you tried Dave's part mart?
I also find UAP a bit expensive.

Don't forget that some of the parts you are looking for would also be available on the Malibu and Grand Am.

Try Arnprior Auto parts http://www.a-oautoparts.com/en/index.html
They are a great junkyard and have good inventory and, will deliver to your home or office.
Or, I used to go to G & L Auto on Navan Road, 613 824 4985. I used to go there a lot too. They did have days where you could haul out as much as you could carry.
Oh and, don't be surprised at the price of used parts. The wreckers also know how much they cost at dealerships or parts stores, they don't give stuff away anymore. There is not as big a market for used stuff as there used to be so, like everything else, prices have gone up.
