When you say no major accidents, what kind of minor ones are there and was it reported?

Nothing big. Nothing reported. Not even a speeding ticket (even though it's easy to speed with this car).

Bumper got scratched and was replaced at Lexus. No structural damage at all. I have the repair record from the repair (including the initial estimate).

if it was 5spd MANUAL, i would be all over this... but i believe they didn't offer MANUAL until 02+

2001 models only came in automatic. I bought this car so that my wife can drive it every once in a while. It's a smooth shifting 5-speed automatic with e-shift buttons on the steering wheel. The interior for the 2001 model is a little unique too. It's got leather seats with microfibre inserts. It's really comfortable.

Been getting lots of questions about this, and I wanted to make sure people knew that private car purchases only require PST (8%) to be paid upon registration at MTO (based on invoice price or blackbook price - whichever is higher). Dealer car purchases require you to pay both PST (8%) AND GST (5%) to be paid. This makes private used car purchases 'technically' 5% cheaper than purchases from dealers.

Also, it's good to know that the new proposed harmonized tax by the Ontario Liberals, will require private car purchases to be charged the full 13% in the future. The call it a 'level playing field'.

The car is still for sale, the new price is very competitive with dealer prices on the market. My car is in great condition (can't beat Lexus quality), and will last a long time.
