I went to my local Shopper Drug Mart and they were selling Mr. Noodles 5/packs for only $0.99. They had spicy beef and spicy chicken. The regular price is $1.99.

"Instant" noodles are never instant. 5 minutes is good enough to be instant.

I don't even eat Nissin noodles anymore. Only Korean instant noodles. $2.50-$2.99/5 pack when on sale at most Asian supermarkets.

They are pretty bad, but you can't beat the price. I got two 5-packs at this price earlier in the month.

the soup base for mr noodle is bad, but I think the texture of the noodle itself is pretty much the same.

Some stores will have the Mushroom flavour, watch out for it. Seems to be the rarer kind.

I buy the "instant" noodles in a cup the odd time. It's not that great for you - way too much salt in these things and probably monosodium glutamate.
I pour the boiling water in the cup and put a dessert plate on top, weighted down with a coffee mug to keep it shut tight. Let it sit for about 15 minutes and the noodles get really thick.
Would rather have a nice steak with potatoes and carrots though!

Asian noodles are mushy goop. I guess you have to be brought up on them to like them.

Zellers were selling 12 pack of Mr Noodles for .99 a few weeks ago so maybe still available. Was not in flyer, just a whole skid of it in middle of aisle so YMMV.
Grabbed a few cases, used VIP SPC to get 10% and paid 7 cents a pack.

Once you see that the "Asian Noodles" most have soy in them, that is fail. heh.

Only thing wrong with Mr. Noodles is that it has CARAMEL. If it is real then good, if it is food dye... NOT SO GOOD!

I've seen a case of Mr. Noodle for $1.99 at Shoppers in the past. A case would probably have 12 packages.

I have a Korean colleague who likes to eat them at the office. We tell him that he's fat and his face is round because of the cheap food he likes to eat. He tells us that if he can't bill his lunch to clients, then he'll eat these noodles instead. He is such a cheapskate. He says the Chinese can be cheaper than him. I didn't know there was a difference in cheapness.
