Today's deal. Not bad. Cheaper and Cheaper! I'm guessing this will be the regular price in a few more weeks. But still, cheapest I've seen it ever since.

Crap, I just got this card from the same place just over a month ago. I ordered the same one, but actually I received the non passive one, which is much better in my opinion. I'm interested to see if anyone orders this and receives the same as me.

Not all video cards are created equal. The Sapphire ones have been shown on Tom's Hardware to have excellent overclocking capabilities.

What? You don't mean non-passive cooling, do you? I would be freakin' if I ordered what was supposed to be a passively cooled card and received something with a fan! How could they pull a substitution like that? Unless both cards are exactly the same dimensions the one you received might well not have fit your application! That's crazy.

Maybe all you're saying is that they sent you the wrong one accidentally and you elected to keep it, is that it?

Is this a one or two slotter?

Well, I expected to get the one in the picture, but was suprised to get this one, it fits fine so I'm not angry or anything, they're def not the same size, the fan on this thing is HUGE (which is why I didin't mind, as it's a positive) So far my card is oc'd at 700/1103 and it never goes above 65 even in gaming and idles at 52 with 50% fan speed.

Also, the one I received is 2 slots

Depends....the one shown on the site is the old style.
This is the updated version which is dual slot:

And now recently, there is another slightly updated dual slot one now:

So I guess it would depend on what they have in stock.

Just to clarify, I got the 2 slotted one with 2 DVI ports.

They shouldn't be selling/substituting them as the same product. 1 vs 2 slot, passive vs non-passive, dual-DVI vs dvi/vga... surely the manufacturer does not consider all these the exact same product.

This is CanadaComputers that does this? I am very surprised. That's just not right. I would be pretty pissed if I had only 1 available slot and I received a 2-slot card when I expected I was ordering a single.

I'm interested to see if anyone orders this and receives the same as me.I wasn't aware that Sapphire made a passively cooled 4850? I've seen the Gigabyte one with the HUGE heatpipe cooling, and I think Powercolor announced one. But Sapphire? I can't even seem to find it with a quick Google search.
