Dont know if anyone would be interested but i was at pickering flea market today and theres a movie vendor there thats selling HD-DVD planet earth for $25. He has alot of them in stock and its brand new sealed.

I picked up blu rays for myself and my gf picked up Planet earth for her dad on hd-dvd.

I will post my blu ray findings on my other blu ray post.

Not sure if this is a hot deal. But enjoy

if you've yet to part ways with your hd-dvd player, i'd say it's a pretty hot deal considering the cheapest I've seen it is $63 at futureshop

This is a canada-wide site, so having the city and province in the title would be awesome! Thanks!

I'm pretty sure FutureShop had Planet Earth HD-DVD @ $25.00 which went to half price @$12.50. If I didn't already have the set, I would have jumped on it.

WARNING: Planet Earth HD-DVD packaging is flawed, chances of getting scratched discs is very likely.

Too bad I missed those... unless those were the ones that everyone was saying were upconverted from DVD, and weren't actually HD quality...

Nope, these look stunning.

I picked mine up for $25 from FS, and then when they went down the next week got a price adjustment =D

The city is in the Post. I know not everyone knows what cities are in what province, but the info was not omitted. It's not like he said Borden or some other very common named city/town.

Some vendors at Pickering Markets have been busted for selling counterfeit media so use caution. I'm not saying this is one of them.

An awesome series, especially in 1080p.

If it's DVD Wave I wouldn't be concerned. It's unfortunate they chose to open their store right beside the counterfeit Chinese malls.

$12.50? They sold out INSTANTLY in most places when they hit $25 for the set.

I remember when I bought mine at $12.50, my futureshop had more than 10 copies, it was really a very hot deal.

At that price, definitely! I forget if I paid $25 or $30 for my copy at BB and I still think it was excellent value for money. I didn't even feel bad enough to go back for a PM the following week when FS dropped their own price to $5 less than I'd paid. Considering that the DVD version was priced around $100 a year ago any of these prices for the HD version was a bargain. $12.50 would definitely have been a steal.

I can't believe that the local flea market had some HD DVD movies for about $25 and up, and they had Planet Earth for $75 right next to the Blu-ray version for $65!

What do they think it's a collectors item or something??

Perhaps those copies aren't privately burned?

Anyone have a copy for me? I'm in Etobicoke but can't justify going to Pickering for just one HD-DVD set. Sadly I almost go to Markham/Scarberia on a bi-weekly basis.

I too picked up the Planet Earth HD DVD set from FS back when it was $12.50. Oddly enough, the cover art for my set is actually for the Blu-ray (there is the Blu-ray logo on the spine and on the back). I was hoping that they had mistakenly packed BDs into the case as well, but I was disappointed ...
