PM Bestbuy for less.
The lowest price in US is $48.99 from NexTag.com. Considering exchange rate, I think this is very good deal if you are looking for a decent, reliable and fast SDHC for your digi-cam or camcoder. By the way it is made in Japan.

+1, $50 bucks for 8gig SD is just not worth it these days.

I still manage with my 3 512mb sd cards for game saves and so on. Try to use the old ones to save money :) these things drop in price by month...

I paid $99.99 for a 16GB Panasonic. Lol. I feel dumb, I don't know if I should go and return it or what or just pretend I got it for $50...:lol::lol:

For a class 6 name brand professional series SD card, $50 is not bad. The 4GB on boxing day were $20 I think. If I get my new k200d i will be picking up this card.

FYI: PM Bestbuy and get it for around $45

Class 6 cards can vary in actual speed quite a bit. They claim 20MB/sec for this card, similar to Sandisk Extreme III"s.. Most of the cheaper ones achieve 8-13MB/sec from what I've read.

No, it's like buying a generic memory stick from Dealextreme. I have a OCZ usb and it is slow as hell... :(:(:(

Paying $50 for an 8GB SD card is like paying $50 for a Big Mac.
