The TSX's had 2 doji days (open/close at roughly same level) in a row. It's a sign that the market is confused. Should we continue to go up? Or, should we be heading down? These are the questions the crowd is asking right now. When the market is confused, bull and bears are matched in strength, which is why the doji forms.

I wouldn't call a triple digit loss "roughly the same level". The market is certainly taking a breather. So much for momentum. If you believe the whole "resistance/support" view, some people was saying that we were back into the 7500-9000 range for the Dow. Don't know, don't care.

looking at candlesticks on an index is useless, imo

My eyes are fine. TSX went from 8958 to 8849 yesterday. That's a triple digit loss, not "roughly the same level". If a triple digit loss is "roughly the same level", then by the end of this year,we should be be below -15000 points after 200 some days of closing at "roughly the same level". :D

You're welcome. ;)

Man left and right, I'm seeing stocks screaming BUY!! BUY!! BUY!! Aries is the most energetic of the sun signs. May Aries' energy bring good fortune to the TSX over the next few weeks.
