Ok, so I have good credit until today...
I forgot to put money into my account and GMAC attempted to withdraw the payment... To make matter waste, they try twice within 5 days!
I can GMAC and they say it will be reported to the credit company...
What can I do to improve the situation?
I have ask my bank to activate overdraft protection on my account... I thought I had it, honestly...

I have no experience with this but this is what I'd do:
Get it paid as fast as you can. Then call them and apologize profusely,
and have them remove the late payment report, or at least have them
append a note to the report explaining the situation.

um I doubt they would report it to credit agency that fast usually they give you a 30 day grace period. But not everyone, I would do pretty much what the previous post said.
Check your credit report in couple of weeks and see if it's in there. If it is they wont remove it but you can ask them to attach a note.

Why do you think forgetting a payment and being late for less than a 30 day period would damage your credit at all?

Hopefully they won't report it being it is so early.
But your credit report is suppose to be an accurate representation of what happened. If a payment was late it was late.

1. Late payment typically don't show up on your credit report until they are over 30 days late.
2. One late payment won't kill you. If your record is otherwise clean, no lender is going to care that you made one payment late.
