I like them, what do you guys think?
What would you wear with them?
I have size 11-11.5 feet...and they're wide..so I'll have to wear size 12...wouldn't it look ugly wearing such large shoes...and I'm well below 6'0 (like 5'8 tops).

It depends on what pants go with them.
I think it'll go well with tight jeans.

I think if you like them, get them. Don't get persuaded by a bunch of strangers on the internet.

Size 12 Chuck Taylor's will look like clown shoes if your 5"8. Only thing to wear that will look nice is probably some slim jeans with narrow leg opening or some formal clothes .Maybe even get that gangster look with dickies with the tongues out...

Chucks tend to run large so make sure you try on a pair first if you're ordering online.

Yeah you should probably size down 1 whole size. I wear 9.5, normally I'm a 10.5/11.

you are supposed to size down one as per converse advice. try it on first, you may even need to size down 1.5 or two.

Def need to size down... they kinda have a narrow fit but its canvas so its not going to constrict as much as leather uppers but they don't stretch either. Try them on and see if you like the look first because if you're only 5'8" they might look like clown shoes....

I've just recently purchased a pair of those exact ones. I've got a few pair of CT's so yes I would wear them.
However size 11.5 will make your feet look abnormally large with these shoes, especially with tight/skinny jeans.
You'll want to stay away from that combination if you want to wear CTs in general.

Gangster rappers do wear chucks, look at snoop doggy dogg. Anyway, in response to the original poster, with all honesty I think that an all-black chucks would look horrendous with a size 11 and above. May I suggest for you to consider the original black and white generics by chucks? Or better yet, try to browse around for the chucks sported by Will Smith on i,Robot. It's the same black and white color but it's made mostly of leather so It'll look sleek on you. And what's more is that being made out of leather makes it suitable for rugged to the smart casual look. ;)

The colour is great for an all black shoe and you can't really go wrong with having a pair of chucks in your collection but hearing about your shoe size....well I don't think it would look too well with big feet. It does look like clown shoes and even on me who wears a size 7 in chucks can feel it looking like clown shoes. If you like them then go get it because they are a good shoe for any collection.

Had a pair like those back in 1963, when I was six.

From personal experience, I found that other brands that make the same design as the Converse Chuck Taylor are far superior in quality and comfort while the prices are still relatively the same (give or take $10)
Like some other guy mentioned, look into PF Flyers, similar design but way more comfortable
