The city of Ottawa is giving out 100,000 free trees as part of their TREE initiative (basically to increase the amount of trees in the city). Trees can be picked up, or the city will deliver the tree to your house free of charge.

There are 9 different types of trees you can choose from. The delivered tree is typically about 1.5-2m tall.

Is it legal to build a personal forest in my backyard?

On this question above, is there anything from stopping me from putting a large ass tree right behind me (or even 2??)

I know raking will be a pain, but, let's just say I'd enjoy the separation behind our neighbour.

Can they complain about leaves from the tree on my end?
