Has anyone ever had their coat relined?
One of my winter wool coats is starting to show it's age, and although I have mended a few rips, it is starting to shred a bit.
I know some dry cleaning places might do it, I checked two, and one said no, while the other one hesitated so much and gave me a quote of $49. I don't think they do it often, so I am looking for references. Also, I am not sure if that is an average price, but my coat is a pretty good quality which does make it worthwhile to spend that much.
Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

If you are re-lining your winter coat, and your coat is roomy enuf, I would suggest looking into a "kasha lining". You can check it out at a fabric store. This kind of lining is warmer than just a plain acetate lining.

You may also ask the tailor to add a small piece of leather on the back, under the lining. In the old days, isome coats had this to add a bit of shielding from the wind.
