Marketing thing. My fellow American scrapbookers were getting different coupons for this week and that's one of them. Though I bought something last week and got a coupon on the end of my receipt that doesn't have the min $5 purchase so I'm using that one instead if I need to.

What a wasted post for a store that sells over priced crap... and the fact that if a store can offer a 50% off coupon EVERY freaking week proves my point.

The manager asked where I found it and I just said "online - I always get my coupons in the same place and they've always been valid". She said she was going to send a copy of it to head office to find out whether it's legit, and added a generic 20% discount to my shopping anways. AND HOLY SMACK! i havent been to michaels in a long time but is everything there literally a rip?! i usually get my scrapbooky stuff from stores just like zellers or superstore, and recently my girlfriend just got some 25 set? i think fiskar speacialty scissors from zellers for 30 bucks while 6 of them were already 35 at michaels! that slice thing looks mighty nice though, too bad coupons dont work... 50% off that baby...

IMHO, if multinational companies are going to issue coupons online, they should list the geographic restrictions... an easy way to avoid confusion!

I was getting so items at really low prices, up to 90% off because they have to move stuff along for new inventory. However I didn't know some of this stuff was at almost 90% off because the sale stickers were about %75 off and it was at the cash that where the price was even lower. M's doesn't have those scanners you can use so yes, it can be hard to find some of the good clearance items. I was actually buying for my kids and picked up these dinosaur themed items like paper pads and clear stamps that ended up coming up dirt cheap at the cash. That's when after you buy you run back to that area and buy more :). Summer time also brings some really good deals around July. It's the clearance items that are worth it.

Saw some good stuff at the Dixie Value Mall M's on Thursday. I had to go in for some cross stitch items to finish up the last of the family christmas stockings. Have my husband's to finish. Zipped through the scrapbooking area and there were several spots with good stuff. Don't have the money to splurge but did pick up a Mickey Mouse border punch. Wouldn't buy it at reg price of $24.99 minus coupon, or reduced price of $12.99 but at $6.99, yes :). Some stuff is still over price but if you have the time to hunt through everything there might be a gem. Got a 50% off with my receipt too which is good because I have to go back for something and the flyer only has a %40 off.

first line in the fine print does say One coupon per customer per day. Also I have never been allowed to double up on coupons at a M's even though they were different coupons. But then some of them seem to have their own rules so you never know!

Went shopping today at Michaels (using above coupon) and I got a coupon back good for 50% off any one regular price item. I don't shop there alot so I don't know if this is common? The coupon is printed on receipt paper, following the receipt for my purchase.
