I am going to Calgary Apr9-12th and thought about renting a car. (preferred method) but after doing some investigation as with most major cities, the parking kills any deals. Most major hotels charge astronomical fees for parking. In most cases more than the per day rental charge of a car.

Does anyone know of any cheaper places to park in the downtown core of Calgary?

Thanks

i am staying at the Hyatt $25 a day to park

City parkades are only a little bit cheaper but you won't have in & out privledges plus the Hyatt is underground and is secure.

Just park on the street. Sundays and holidays are free at the meters.

If you are staying at the Hyatt, it kinda depends on how far you want to walk. There is an Impark lot about 2 blocks away but I think you are looking at about $20 a day there ... just kinda depends on how long you are parking for. If you are out and about for the day, then maybe parking is a good idea on the street as it is free after 6pm and on Sundays all day.

This is the closest Calgary Parking Authority Lot to your hotel:
