timeshare advice on selling

My family wants to get rid of a timeshare we purchased several years ago. What would be our best option to get out of it? Most sites I have seen on the internet look like scams that offer to resell them.

Any suggestions? thanks

We used to own one of the timeshare in Orlando back in 1992. It took us so long and finally we got ridded of it by giving it back to the resort. Pain and torture... forget about of getting any money back, now a day reccesion is here, nobody wants to buy any timeshares anymore.
