Cheap tickets to Beijing?

I’m planning for a trip to BeiJing and any help/advice/suggestion will be appreciated.
Prefer to leave April 9th evening but okay with any time April 10th.
Prefer to get back right before work on April 20th, but sometime April 19th is fine.
(So the point is, I want to stay in BeiJing as long as possible while only taking 5 days off since April 10th is holiday, and I also need to take air ticket price into consideration)

The best I’ve found so far is about $1200, which is more than twice of the round trip ticket price for Munich-BeiJing. (If you think about geometry, you will :mad:)

I have 1 luggage and 1 carry on bag and don’t mind stop/connection as long as it doesn’t take very long. (Once a friend of mine went from Ottawa to China for less than $750 but it took him over 35 hours)

A quick search on Aircanada.ca shows a direct flight from YYZ to PEK for $1019 on the 777. This is the lowest price you will find.

That would be a decent price as it's a nonstop flight and the AC 777 has excellent amenities.

Since the air ticket is always in that 900-1300 price range except x'mas, I'm thinking visiting BeiJing in August instead because I can stay in BeiJing for 2 weeks instead of 1 week if I go in Aug
