Ottawa to Boston area route

Any suggested routes driving from Ottawa to Boston? starting from the east end of Ottawa, going to the coast near the MA/NH border (Newburyport)? Seems to be several options (I-89,I-93,short cuts on state routes) looking some something fast and scenic.

If you want to avoid Montreal then cross into NY at Cornwall and make your way to Plattsburgh. From there you can take a ferry across to Burlington and then take the interstate the rest of the way down (89 then 93).

This route might be a bit longer than going through Montreal (only a half hour or so) but the ferry ride breaks up the drive nicely and you won't be stuck in traffic until you get to Boston.
