By look the result of my search it looks like I missed out on some good deals on some cordless sets that included an impact driver last week. Does anyone know any that are still on? I am starting some new projects this weekend and really don't want to fight with my old drill anymore.

Home Depot has this for $139 with free impact driver
http://www.homedepot.ca/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatalogSearchResultView?D=972130&Ntt=972130&catalogId=10051&langId=-15&storeId=10051&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntx=mode+matchall&recN=0&N=0&Ntk=P_PartNumber

Not sure though if the impact driver is included in the box or if you have to send away for it. It's in their most recent flyer, page 3 near the bottom, right side. I'll check again later this AM.

I went to the local Home Depot and saw the Ryobi set, which seemed like a pretty good deal. However, I didn't really need the saws and came across the Ridgid 18v Drill and Impact Driver set for $170. I think this was the one that was on sale last week for less, but from what I read it sounds like the Ridgid is a step up on the quality scale from the Ryobi set.

$170 is the sale price for the Li-On version..
the $99 was for the Ni-Cd version, but you probably won't find that one anyways.

It's a great set. I got that set over the Ryobi. The only thing I've noticed is that the batteries do not like being cold and won't charge if they are cold. Not sure if they will work if they are or if it's just charging that is a problem.

Lifetime warranty on batteries is a big plus for me.

Great to hear. It is pretty odd that one HD will have some of the sets and others do not. For instance, the Newmarket store had none of the Ryobi $139 set or the Ridgid $170 sets, but the Aurora store had all kinds. I must say that I visited the local Lowes, and I didn't see anywhere near the good deals on power tools that HD seemed to have on.
