I live in the GTA and haven't really had a need for pay T.V for some time. However I'm getting sick of trying to find my T.V shows online, I currently have Rogers internet and phone (not on a contract basis) and would love simple basic as can be T.V with no or short contract.
I've researched the OTA route but since my Westinghouse 42" is a monitor with no tuner, I'm having to purchase an external tuner plus an antennae to start. Any recommendation for a cheap basic alternative?

Thanks!!

You will need a tuner no matter what you decide. The cheapest is Rabbit Ears.

There are basically three choices

Digital Cable - Tuner Required
Satellite - Satellite Tuner Required
Over the Air - Rabbit Ears, Tuner required since you are using a monitor

A tuner is a forgone conclusion. I guess my post wasn't clear. I'm after T.V programming. My mention of the OTA tuner is because many state it's a great and free alternative, true, but when I have to get $100+ tuner I'm kind of already behind the 8 ball so to speak.

Heh Guilty... Check this out for a tuner for your computer ? if that is what you need it for ... this is a good price and does have connections for "cable" and " HDOTA "

Hmm....Interesting.

Here's a Question then: I have Windows Media and a 360. Can I stream T.V from my computer to my xbox to then watch TV?

Thanks for the help guys...

I don't know the answer to that one ... I know that the tuner works fine with XP and Vista out to monitor ....

Thanks for the PM's thrifty i'll check it out,
I do have to find a USB or external tuner as I have the Acer AX3200 slim tower and cards most likely won't fit.

Still would love to hear any other ideas for legit T.V. Any other companies I should be looking at for cheap tv?
