I'll continue to update this thread as best as I can when I have sales information so that we don't get a ton of iNetVideo threads like we used to.
Free shipping is offered every few months. There is also an ongoing promotion that automatically gets applied to your orders $25+ for 15% off your shipping charge.
iNetVideo.com ships most of their items out of Montreal, so you won't get hit by duties or taxes.

The harry potter says years 1 to 5, so how many discs is that? just the first 4? the 6th was made in 2007... so would be the 6th year of the series..
also, the planet earth for $24.99 looks hot, but amazon.com has it for $29.99US with free shipping, is the us site able to ship to canada?

They do ship to Canada. They ship a lot of their stuff out of Montreal.
The exchange rate does make the cost higher, but I thought I'd post this anyways for people who would like to take advantage of it anyways.
The titles included are Sorcerers Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, and Order of the Phoenix.
Here (http://www.amazon.com/Limited-Sorcerers-Chamber-Secrets-Prisoner/dp/B000W45C70) is the description from Amazon.com for the Blu version.

Yes, but no free shipping to Canada. Shipping to Canada is $9 USD + possible import fees deposit (you don't pay at the border, this covers those fees)

The Canadian version of the HP box set is the "Philosopher's Stone" (Original title) version, but the US box has "Sorcerers Stone" (US Title, which is NOT the original title!)
If you're Canadian, and you want the right version, order from the .ca site.
You also might want to double check that they are indeed the CDN versions.
(and when they say "year 1-5" they mean "school year" not "movie years")

Not sure whether to place an order now or wait a week or so and see if the dollar can get over the hump. These deals are a bit hotter now that the amazon coupon expired. Some decent blu ray titles for around $7usd.

Same here, I keep stopping myself from ordering The Matrix HD DVD set. Free shipping almost made me pull the trigger on it, but I keep reminding myself I'll never actually get my $40 out of the set as I rarely watch those movies.
I wish I had waited on ordering my AP Blu set and not had to have paid the $5.00 shipping...oh well =(
I had assumed they would run out quickly, as they usually do with these sales, but I guess they must really have a ton of the different sets on sale. (Matrix, HP, AP, etc.)

Bump. Updated. Not sure if free shipping is still on. If it is, it's free shipping when you make a purchase over $50.00.
Good luck to those who get the Sex and the City Movie on Blu while they last.
The Matrix Set is also a buy for me, so much cheaper than the ultimate set they offer.
$17.77 for the three movie collection, or $39.99 for the ultimate collection which includes the Animatrix and some other bonus discs.

It does look like shipping isn't free any longer. For $50 worth of items shipping would be $20ish. I'm sure free shipping will be back in a week or two, so let's hope items stay in stock.
When you're paying $3-$5 per DVD or HD DVD it's still a good deal adding 25% when shipping is free.
I'll make sure to update once free shipping is available again.

Just yesterday I was looking at Forbidden Planet auctions on eBay: ~$45. Collectors Edition in the $70 range.
So here it is on iNetVideo for $10. So I picked up a whole mess of stuff, including B&C and Casablanca.
Thanks very much OP.
EDIT: I find it ironic that it was Warner's who effectively put the last nail in HD-DVD's coffin (ok, second last: Wal-Mart was the last one) but are STILL clearing out their HD-DVD stock over a YEAR LATER!

I couldn't risk it so i went for it, but they may have free shipping soon if you can hold off you might get the best deal.

They are planning to remake Bonnie and Clyde with Hilary Duff and Kevin Zegers (whoever he is).

What's next, remaking The Godfather or Gone with the Wind?

Just picked up the Collector's Edition of Bonnie and Clyde at Giant Tiger for $6.88. The store near the Queensway at Dumaurier (Ottawa) had a couple left. Also grabbed some other titles there and at the store in Bells Corners. They both had lots of stock so strike while the selection is good. No hoarders plz
^ We're talking HDDVD here, not DVD :)
I got it at a GT too today; it is the HD DVD, with 34-page book. Other iNetVideo added titles there too, so maybe they do supply stores. Guess I should post to the GT thread, but not many copies of each.

You should add "US$" to your title, to be completely clear, since the exchange rate is pretty significant now.

They are planning to remake Bonnie and Clyde with Hilary Duff and Kevin Zegers (whoever he is).
http://www.filmstalker.co.uk/archives/2009/01/bonnie_and_clyde_remake_really.html
What's next, remaking The Godfather or Gone with the Wind?
Hollywood must be short of ideas, remakes are usually not as good as the original.
That sounds like dumb casting. They'd be better off casting Madonna and Jason Statham in a Guy Richie remake of it. (Though Madonna would be too old now).
There are way too many inferior remakes these days though. Are ANY remakes better than the originals?
They should stop butchering the classics. If they must remake, they should remake the films that were almost classic, but for a few mistakes or bad casting/timing.

That was quick!
Thanks. I placed an order with them the same week that our dollar fell away from parity and it added quite a bit to the price.
Especially annoying since they shipped from Quebec (I assume they are a Quebec company) so there should be no need for the exchange rate and higher-than-US shipping costs. Unless they correct that I think I'll just wait for their discs to appear at reasonable prices in my local retail stores, as they seem to have done before.

AFAIK, Inetvideo.com and Inetvideo.ca ship from Montreal even though they have an office in the U.S. (this is for both Canadians and Americans) They are a Canadian company.
If you go to various forums, some Americans got quite upset because they received bilingual cases. They assumed they would receive items that were all English. We don't even bat an eye, because it's the law. The Americans also don't have the $20 limit before duty kicks in.* (More if you're lucky) Free-trade, Ehh?
*Don't worry about big orders from .com, because they ship from Canada and you won't be charged the duty.

Exactly! Since they are shipping from Montreal the Canadian shipping charges should be less, not more, than the US fees. If they would offer better (or free!) shipping to Canadians they could move most of their HD DVD stock in no time. As it currently stands I'll just wait for titles I want to show up in a local store and buy there.

No problem. I can't think of US$50-worth of titles (currently in circulation) that I still want, so I'd be unlikely to qualify for the free shipping anyway. INet's best chance of selling titles to me is via another retailer's store in my area. I'm still seeing HD-DVDs, likely sourced from them, but unfortunately they are all titles I've already bought or decided against. Hopefully some of the non-combo discs will start circulating in local stores soon.

That would be neat, got this from a blog:
You can also take advantage of Warners new red2blu promotion if you are lucky enough to be in the US and just do the following:
- send in the paper with the upc code spot glued to the back of the box set along with $ 14.95 (upgrade fee)
- send in the printed sleeve from the first movie (the Matrix) only along with $ 4.95 and add $ 6.95 to the above for shipping/handling processing for both discs.
So if you are in the US and willing to pay around $ 55 bucks in total you can end up with the following:
1) Brand New Ultimate Set on HD DVD (just have to scan and reprint your art from the first movie)
2) Brand New Ultimate Set on BLURAY !!
3) Single copy of the Matrix on BLURAY which also happens to be a 10th Anniversay Digibook !!
OR.... just spend $22.22 plus shipping with iNet and get the real "Ultimate Set" on HD DVD... not an Amazon sponsored "bait & switch"

It started off, as always, with some impressive-looking prices for titles that I either already have or don't want, but by the time I got to titles that might interest me the price was already up to higher than the going retail store price (CDN$7) once you factor in the exchange rate. Then add shipping and the price reaches a level where I lose interest.
Frustratingly, titles that I did order from them before for over double the price are now in their cheap section. I'm going to stick to my old plan of checking out local stores when I pass by. I already have way too many movies on HD DVD, DVD, VHS, and even a few BR purchases. No wonder I barely watch broadcast TV shows anymore!

They have a .ca website and a .com.
The .ca site is geared towards Canadians and is in Canadians dollars, while the .com site is the opposite.

The .ca site is not worth buying from, it's cheaper after exchange to usually use the .com site.
There are no customs from either site, they both ship from Montreal.

Well we were at almost 87 cents a few days ago, and could probably be near the dollar in a few months. Since the Canadian dollar was hovering around 78 cents just a few weeks ago, a 10 cent increase is not that bad.
Plus with the 10 off 40 deal on Amazon being taken away from us blu ray deals are a lot more uncommon to find. Buying used ones at Rogers and Blockbuster for $15 is decent, but not spectacular. Inet has some decent titles at $10 and under, so with free shipping and a 90 cent dollar we might only have to pay $9-$11 for good titles.

Some ok deals, the $2.00 comedy title sale is a great deal, the only thing killing it is shipping, but if you pick up locally then you're set. Lots of quality titles in there for $2.00 each like both Harold and Kumar movies, Spaceballs, Dogma, etc.
$35.00 shipping for 26 $2.00 DVD's as an example, which is .74 us per DVD extra, bringing the cost to $3.15 or so each DVD after shipping and exchange, which still isn't bad, but more than $2.00 =p
(We don't need to bash SD DVD's please, as lots of people would gladly pay $2.00 for a catalogue SD DVD over $15-$20ish catalogue blu)

Hey, who's taking my name in vain!
There are a couple of other guys in the iNet thread who place regular bulk orders there. I ordered 4 HD DVDs from them ONCE, when they had a free shipping promo. The deal was pretty good, for titles I haven't seen locally, but I was hit quite a bit by the sudden climb of the US$ (why a QC order is in US$ I don't know) and one of my discs arrived with a broken case due to inadequate padding in the shipping envelope.
I already have plenty of discs, HD, DVD, and even some BR, purchased locally so I don't anticipate ordering here.
Expect to pay around US$3 for each "$1" disc ordered, assuming you order about a dozen.
Good deal for the Batman pack, though I already have HD and DVD versions.

Good to know that you can combine orders, especially with their shipping fee structure. Common sense in retail seems so rare. If it was one of the big name retailers you'd probably have to cancel the first order and create an all-new 2nd complete order. IF you were actually able to cancel the 1st one, that is.

Just a heads up, I've been in touch with the guys at iNet, and they have offered to give us early information on upcoming sales.
They also mentioned possibly offering a free shipping promotion for RFD'ers, but that's something that would happen down the line, so be patient.
I may try to incorporate the upcoming sale information into the main post, so we'll see how this works out and go from there.
Also, please be patient for updates on Mon, Tues, Wed sales as I would be updating it from work whenever time permits if they don't send the information out to me ahead of time or before I leave for work. Hopefully though we'll be able to get the sales information ahead of time now though which will make it easier for me to update on time.
Here is the information I have about the sales happening next week.
Three days of sales are back! Tues, Wed, Thurs (June 2nd, 3rd, 4th)
15% off shipping on orders over $25 still in effect.
1 DAY only $1 DVDs (Tuesday June 2nd)
Men in Black 2 (FS Special Edition)
Blues Brothers 2000 (WS)
Lethal Weapon 3 WS
1 DAY 5$ Boxsets (Tuesday June 2nd )

Wow thanks for the great work gsrce, I have probably bought stuff from them 6 times, and they always work out great. With the rising dollar I am sure to buy stuff soon enough.
I usually wait for the free shipping deals, but $5 for Six Feet Under Season Three, is a very good price.
An RFD only free shipping event would be great. I just wish they would have more stock on some of their blu ray titles sometimes.
One great deal they have on there is the Aqua Teen Hunger Force game for $2. The game kind of sucks, but it goes for at least $10 on eBay, and is a must for any athf fan.

When you spend $25 or more the 15% off of shipping will be deducted automatically when you go through checkout from my past experiences.

Tracey Takes On - The Complete First Season (Boxset)
Six Feet Under - The Complete Third Season (Boxset)
Thanks for the great work man.. I'm signed up to this thread, their news letter, their facebook (where they're giving out a $hitload of free stuff) and twitter.. So I won't miss anything :D

Yeah, free shipping for RFDers would be great for sure.
On a Side note, regarding the $US situation.. last time I spoke to them they still said that the new inetvideo.ca is coming really soon, Canadian prices for Canadians.. Would be great to see how it works out :D

They mentioned this to me as well. The big thing about this new site they said will be a greatly reduced shipping cost for Canadians. Apparently it should be coming by the end of the summer. By then though I'll have spent all my money =p

Yeah, I've already bought pretty much everything I want, and then some, anyway. And by summer it looks like our dollar could be on parity too.

.com usually has the better deals, .ca has it's own deals but not many
The money order would probably have to be in U.S. funds if using their U.S. site, but I'm sure you can email them and figure something out.
I'll be updating the main page soon with the sales for this week and the info 240 posted above.

So much of their product seems to be showing up in nationwide retail stores anyway, even if it isn't blatantly stated that it's from iNet. Apparently all of WM's videos are on consignment from an outside company too - likely also iNet.

Looks like they're a bigger player in this industry than previously thought.. What makes you think though its from inet?

If not iNet, then something similar. WM seem to be having a few $10 BR deals lately, which seem to be similar titles to what we're seeing elsewhere (FS/BB I think, among others). Things like Rambo, Terminator 2, Saw 2, Reservoir Dogs, etc. A WM salesperson told me their videos are on consignment. Ergo, these stores seem to have a common distributor behind the scenes. Just as we see iNet's titles showing us at GT/Z/RCSS/etc, we seem to be seeing distributor "x"'s product at WM/FS/BB/etc. But whether "x" = iNet, or a similar rival, I can't say. "x" seems to send out its own setup people though, while RCSS/GT/etc seem to receive shipments (presumably from iNet) to put out in the bins themselves, so there seems to be a difference there.

I've also noticed the same thing, where inet will put something new up for sale, and then HMV will have the exact same thing in their deals section in store the next week for $2-$3 more than inets price.
BTW, I'll have the main page updated within the next hour or so.

It's entirely possible that these stores place bulk orders directly from iNet, especially if they correlate to the pevious week's sale. Though they do seem to have return privileges, like a consignment, which explains why we haven't seen GT or Z reduce any of their HD DVD prices yet for a clearout. RCSS has had a couple of brief sales, but they weren't HD-specific.

Not liking the 50 percent off shipping deal. So the dollar goes up and they no longer offer free shipping? Seems that way, as they did free shipping every month when the dollar was hovering around 80 cents.
With blu ray prices falling everywhere I think it is time to lower the average standard price you're willing to pay.
Many titles can be had for $14 at chcanada, to go along with all the titles for $10 everywhere now. Doubt I will pay more than $15 for standard releases anymore. Seems like many prime movies are finally getting release dates though, as I see both Braveheart and Gladiator (along with LOTR) are finally being released later this Summer.
$15 for previously used titles at Blockbuster, and 30 percent off titles at Rogers are now pretty mediocre it seems. I think It's about time we start getting the same deals as standard dvd's (BOGO, buy two get one free).

Yah, I tried to get in on that deal as I love Tales From the Black Freighter, and I want to get Watchmen. Unfortunately, I do not have a reliable American address to ship to, so they would not let me make the purchase. Great deal though, especially with the free shipping.

$3.00 for the first item and $1.00 per additional and whatever the actual shipping cost is, which is $10 or less. So you'd pay max an additional $15.00 to ship those three Blu titles.

Two $2 items I ordered:
-The Grudge 2, photo was of steelbook edition so I ordered it thinking that it wouldn't be, but what the heck. Sure enough, it wasn't.
-Bowling for Columbine, photo was of 2-disc special edition. They shipped me the 1-disc edition.
Their listings should have proper artwork (never use US art, since all titles are Canadian), & list titles with a UPC so folks can make sure which version they're getting. This company does good business, but really needs to clean up their act and sloppily arranged website.

Not yet, but I doubt they can do much now that I have received them. I only used their chat support when I wanted 2 items that were in-stock on the .ca site, but not in-stock on .com & they helped me out. I figured Bowling for Columbine wouldn't have been a problem, & didn't question it when I added that to my cart, so didn't feel an online chat was necessary. Its not a big loss anyhow.

Wow, all those DVDs you buy and you still haven't watched Doctor Who? Amazing!
Hope they get it back on TV soon. It was running on CBC, but they really botched the airing of the final (so-far) episode - something like a 120 minute show crammed into a little over a hour, with commercials thrown in too. It really was an editing nightmare. They tried to make up for it by making the unedited version available online, but it didn't work for me for some reason. The really dumb thing was that they cropped it so they could air some old Frosty The Snowman piece - which I think they ran again the followng week. They really could do with airing the unedited complete finale again, especially since CBC was supposedly the BBC's partner in bringing the show back in the first place. Maybe they hope we'll buy the boxsets, but at over $50 each - no thanks!

That must have gone OOS shortly after you posted. Really hot! Too bad that we can't place orders for OOS items and wait for them to ship when new stock arrives. I notice some HD DVDs that were OOS before are now back (and there I was thinking iNet was now the main source - where are they getting theirs from?), but other titles that I'd seen before are now OOS or increased in price. Why do they have to play this retail roulette of constantly changing prices, even on HD DVDs? Oh well, one of these days the stars will align and I'll place my second iNet order. Then again, I look at the prices I paid last time round and I wish I hadn't bothered as everything is now cheaper.

Thanks, ordered 17 HD DVDs for just under $70USD shipped, all $4.99 and less. Saving the $25 shipping made it worth it, and should round out my collection nicely. Note you still have to pay GST on the prices.

No more free shipping offers before summer close? Just to reemphasis, they do send from Canada, even from the .com site? Ordered before, and didn't pay duties. Verifying from someone that recently ordered. Appreciate it.

There indeed should be a new free shipping sale, but I still have yet to be able to get back in contact with the rep there who was giving me information.
I'll try emailing him again today and hopefully get something back this week.

I almost did, but ran into RCSS's "2 for $10" sale, which I look on as a local-retailer way to shop iNet's stock, and I ended up spending way too much there too. (Over $200 - but at least I got a GC back which slightly more than covered the tax). Only DVDs, not HDs or BRs, but for the price it seemed a decent deal.

I need to stop spending too for a bit. I'm all stocked up for the winter months already. Full House the Complete Series, Macgyver the Complete Series, Ren and Stimpy, Animaniacs, Darkwing Duck, and lots of other random non tv dvds! (My to watch pile is usually bigger than my watched)
I usually try to sit down and watch about 14 hours a day in the winter when it's -40 and there's nothing else to do, so I blow through a season a day almost, but I think I have enough to do through most of my downtime this winter. Hopefully iNet will have an end of winter sale to get me to the spring! =D

Who the heck don't they supply?? I "bin-binged" there a while ago and picked up some interesting DVD titles for $2 each (I did not want any of the few HD DVDs they had), including RKO 281 and The Eagle Has Landed. The former is a nice transfer and the latter God-awful (but at least I have a copy now). I wouldn't have paid full price for either, but $2 is a no-brainer. :)

It appears that way. Possibly retailers place bulk orders whenever they see the better sales, or possibly iNet sell through rented floor space in stores, or it may even be a combination. Product lines seem to match up though.

BTW, a warning about iNet Video's used titles. I recently received an order from them that included a used copy of V for Vendetta. I wanted new, of course, but despite putting one in my basket (during their 25% off sale) the site claimed out-of-stock a few minutes later at check-out time (and it's still so today). I added the used copy instead in a moment of weakness. Many here and elsewhere have reported that the used discs they received were like new. Not my copy. It had clearly been a rental. They didn't even make an attempt to clean the disc. I haven't yet played the whole movie through nor the extra content to see if everything's okay. Even if it plays okay, I'm disappointed.

Out of all my orders that I had, the one time I ended up with a bad copy they exchanged it for me with no headaches. You tried doing that?

It arrived this week (Tuesday I think?), I did a quick check to make sure it was the right movie inside and not scratched to hell - fine on those counts. I popped it in my PS3 last night, and the XMB says "DVD DISC" (or something similar). I'm like "WTF?", eject the disc, and sure enough on the disc art it says "DVD" and not a frigging BluRay!
I've contacted their support but don't expect to hear from them until Tuesday. But WTF! A DVD inside the BluRay case? Not exactly a stellar first order, and depending on their response to my request for service, will either make me a satisfied customer or have me start warning everyone I know off of them.

Just placed a $70 order for a bunch of HD and Blu Ray's. Finally was able to pick up 3:10 To Yuma for $9.99. Also picked up Justice League Season One and W for good prices.
The best thing is the dollar being so high that you really don't have to account for it as much.

I've had a ton of opportunities to buy it cheap, but it seems that stock has dried up on that particular title. Oh well, it'll be on BR soon enough, and like other movies (Omega Man, Twister, etc.) I have picked those up on BR for much less than the HD equivalent.
