Just got back from England where a friend had a thing she called a "dongle" - looked like a USB stick and gave her access to the internet over one of the cell phone networks. BUT the great thing was, since she only needed it occasionally, it was pay-as-you-go.

Is there anything at all like that over here? Any ideas, gentlebeings?

Rogers has one called the Rocket, but it is not pay as you go.

There is also the Sierra Wireless card, which is tied to your SIM card, I guess you can consider that Pay Per Use.
