Hmm, same price as the 3GB kit. Price error maybe?

I doubt it. It's going for $49.99 after rebate on their US site.

Thanks OP! Anyone know of any good deals currently on i7 processors and motherboards to go along with it? Or does anyone know if the Phenom II processors also support triple channel mode ram?

Don't really need this but I'm really tempted, and OCZ MIRs are ok, I've received all 3 that i've sent in.

i didn't get the MIR from OCZ that I sent in buying some RAM on boxing day. Sent it in 8 days after ordering, and got a letter in the mail yesterday saying "postmark not within timeframe" which is a load of crap - the timeframe was from DEC 24th to Jan 21st.

I had a similar problem a few months back with a Corsair memory rebate. I called the toll free number after checking my rebate status online and seeing it was Denied. The CSR was very helpful and said she could reapply for the rebate on her end. I received the cheque two weeks later.

ask OCZ support (browse different IT forum where they are represented) They will solve the problem.

Yeah I remember having the same problem awhile back, and Steve @ OCZ helped me fix the error, cheque took about 2-3 weeks to come.

This isn't an error, the timings on this memory are verrry loose, especially for pc10666.

Buy this if you want to, but be warned....you will never get the rebate back from OCZ (this is from personal experience, and many other people have complained about this).

I've never had a problem with OCZ rebates. If you do you only need to call the toll free number of the rebate house and get it sorted out.

Beware of the rebate from OCZ. I purchased 2 x 2gb of OCZ about 2 months ago, and filled out and filed the rebate exactly correct. Everything was perfect, and they came back and said it was outside the rebate period. I can tell you it was not outside the period, the receipt and rebate form were perfect.

I would say don't count on getting the rebate back from OCZ.

At least it's not 6 sticks of 1GB from a defunct company.

My guess is that OCZ is clearing all their 1333 stock since no one wants to buy those over 1600 or faster RAM for their i7 rigs (why would you spend 350 on a cpu and 300 on a board and pair that up with the slowest DDR3 ram?)

What would be respectable timings for similarly rated (1333 and 1600 MHz DDR3) memory? For comparison's sake these are 9-9-9-20.

I got the cheque back from OCZ fine in the past.

Thanks, it's posted here:

Today is the last day you can buy it with the rebate. Hopefully they'll renew the rebate - great price.

x2

or just send an email to a mod on oczforums.. I actually found a guy there that also help me when I need warranty from OCZ. I love their service (in less than 3 days I have a replacement + email got answered in 24 hours with no canned answers)

Always received my OCZ rebate (had a problem once, sent a mail, got it 2 weeks later)

There's memory with 7-7-7.. But, Core I7 don't really care about timing. This ram is good
