As Usual, please provide input to anything that you see of interest in the flyer. I'll try to keep this up on a weekly basis so folks can at least see the flyer and get some opinions.

I think the best deal is the $10 CT money back on $40 spend on Tuesday and Wednesday. Great return on the money and you can always drop it in the charity boxes at the exits to help others!

Also the 24 timer on clearance is pretty good as it's a 3 prong plug rather than the typical 2 prong.

I'm really tempted to get the winch. $40 is a great price.... although I have no idea what I'd use it for. :?:

thankyou RFD for keeping me and my money distant friends.

Is the battery charger any good in the clearance section?

Does anyone know if CT has decent deals on motor oil or other essential fluids? It seems like even with $10 from $40, the fluids are still expensive; however I haven't purchased any in a long time.

Plus, get it on the 10th or 11th and get another $10 back... plus, it looks totally bitchin' on the front bumper of a truck or jeep!

That's a really good price for a 1500lbs winch. Even the cable alone is worth $40. Although it only gets so-so reviews

I know that HD matches competitors' promotions. Anyone know how they can match this $10 CT money ($40 purchase)?

I've successfully used the Rona 15% off everything and the Lowes promotions previously, just wondering if anyone tried matching this deal w/ HD?
Thanks.

If you can still get the Ridgid for $399 at HomeDepot I would go for that one, it has a lifetime warranty and is much better quality.

+1...go with HD...odds of anything from there being better than from CT is good..LOL

add the $150 MSUV while you're at it...and if you get a HD card, save another 10% i think?

Agree, if you already have a dremmel or dremmel clone, then this will give you all of the necessary (and unnecessary) bits to make it a bit more useful.

why is this posted? is on the website already...

3 reasons

1) People will hit this website before seeing their papers for the ads or surfing every single website (why do we post deals at all since almost everything is online anyways?)

2) In the East (or as I call it, the Center of the Universe), the CT flyers don't come out till Friday (our sales start on Sat) and it is not online if you search it

3) People like reading the opinions of others and soliciting advice on items. This is the best way to get that info.

Given the title of the thread, why did you bother to read it when you could have just gone to the CT website to read it? Why bother posting?

No link, it's on the first page of the ad. Only valid on Tuesday & Wednesday next week if you spend $40 or more and use cash, debit or CT MC as payment type.

I'm curious about this myself as I haven't had a lot of luck with Jobmate stuff. This collection of dremmel bits looks nice, but will I be burning through them like mad (ie, fast "wear and tear" or breaking due to shoddy make)?

Any reviews on this? Would seem good for a beater camera with a bonus LCD keychain.

Cheapest 1.5 inch LCD keychain on deal extreme is $8.99, but they don't have any 5mp cameras cheaper then $60...

I bought a jobmate took kit a while ago. I don't use tool often but I can tell you that the wear on these is quite high. If you use it often, I would recommend getting something better.

I got one of these the last time they were on sale, lots of fun tips. It's just JobMate, so not the highest quality available, but at this price it's a no-brainer if you have (or plan to get) a dremel tool.

AFAIK, the 17.5% employee discount can only be applied if the employee (or spouse) has the Canadian Tire Options Mastercard (Discount is taken off the statement every month.

Therefore, the friend (employee), has to be at the cashier and make the actual purchase, and be compensated later/same time by the leecher, un I mean person looking for discount.

While some could say that "immoral", in reality it give Canadian Tire more business and it's a common practice. It's no difference than the Mark's discount (owned by CTC)

Now buying something and using a discount, and turning around and selling it on the open market, I would consider pretty bad.

Anyone know if the Honeywell Tower Air Purifier for $100 is any good?
There is no indication of how big or tall it is. The rating is for 170 sq.ft.
Is this a good deal? or were the Sharp air purifiers from Futureshop a while ago better?

I checked their website and it looks like it was also marked down to $100 so I think they might be trying to clear them out.
