My neighbor wants to order acanac internet. He used to have bellhighspeed but when the acanac order was processed, they declined the order because the area has no DSL service. I call to confirm if my house beside his can get Internet and they also said no. Funny thing is, I do have acanac Internet beside his house and they still tell me that it's not possible.. Anyhow they told me to call bell to confirm if my neighbors house is capable and they said yes. I call acanac back and they said they will look into it since it does seem odd how I have acanac and they said our house isn't capable. I've been using acanac in that house for 2 years and I had bell highspeed previosly since highspeed came out. I am a bit concerned at the sales staff. They had a bit of attitude over the phone and they closed my ticket before contacting me about the situation. I wonder what will happen to my acanac Internet after my contract expires. Maybe they will deny the fact that highspeed works there.

any ideas to why this is happening?

The physical phone line going to the homes can take different routes. The Acanac house may have a shorter route and the other house may take a longer route that does not allow the person to get DSL.

OR Acanac may be checking their database and it says no because its not up to date or bell just has not updated it and so on. My suggestion is to forget Acanac and call up Teksavvy their tech support is much better and will help and look into the issue and get you dsl if its possible. Seems like the support people at Acanac dont really care.

yes those could be great cases but it's funny how acanac told me my home doesn't work with DSL but I have acanac working there. do they not know their suscribers? lol. oh well. I contacted Paul about this matter and hopefully he can assist. worst comes to worst I'll tell him to get teksavvy. but I still believe acanac is better in terms of price and reliability

Better in price? the first year, that's for sure.

Best in reliability? I doubt.

Great to hear that your happy with acanac, here are the reviews from dslreports

Teksavvy (http://www.dslreports.com/comment/2564/56817)

Acanac (http://www.dslreports.com/comment/2744/68156)

I really think that the advantage of teksavvy over acanac is that they do answer the phone and reply to your e-mails.
