I did some quick searches and hotels are MUCH more than I expected, even for that time of year.

Any suggestions on the booking of a hotel? I will continue to try priceline every other day but I doubt I will get much of anything for under 100.

Thanks

Try Club Quarters. Nice hotel not overly luxurious. Reasonable prices for Boston area. Great location.

It's a members-only hotel but you can book through expedia and a number of other travel sites.

Try Hotwire. My girlfriend and I went to Boston in August and we booked a four-star hotel (maybe 4.5, I don't remember) for < $140 a night and it ended up being the Boston InterContinental. Absolute BEAUTIFUL hotel for a great price.

I had good results with priceline. Did name your own price for a 3.5* and got the hilton doubletree hotel in the theatre district.

It was on the fringe of Chinatown and the Theatre district, looked a bit ghetto of a neighborhood but nobody really bothered us. The hotel was next to a huge hospital so wasn't as bad as people on trip advisor made it out to be.

$85 a night was cheaper then my friend and I at the hostel.

Check out betterbidding.com and name your own price at priceline.com

Bostons a pretty expensive city otherwise. Also if you take i90 all the way there, its a good 20 usd in tolls one way! Still some good free street parking to be found though.

Go whale watching, well worth the $45.
