I live in Vancouver, and need to book two limos for about 4-5 hours in Sept.

I'm looking just for two stretch lincolns, and it seems I'm going to have to spend about 1200 dollars, which is killing me.

Anyone have any ideas, suggestions, or past experiences? Do limo places negotiate on price?

Yeah, my suggestion is "don't bother" .... limos are nice I guess, but they are really unnecessary in the grand scheme of things unless you really, really need people to drive you around and/or are really concerned about looking a certain way.

I'd just look around for some decent mid to full size caddys or something similar ... rent the car not the limo.

It's much cheaper and you get more time with them.

Perhaps in this recession year you can scope a better deal with limos? Keep looking around, maybe you'll get lucky.

The downside is that you have to drop them off and someone has to drive (which really isn't a big deal). At least you don't have to tip anyone and you can always assign people in the wedding party to drive.

That's my suggestion ... i've been married and been through weddings etc ... IMO, limos are a waste of time, money and effort.

When i got married i was working at the vancouver airport and i just went up to the limo drivers and booked a white limo and i made a deal with them for $60 per hour since all i needed really was a drop off from the hotel to the church and back to the hotel and another pickup and dropoff to the reception.

I then just got my family to drop me off after the reception and they only charged me for 4hrs each of the 2 limos i got.

I suggest doing that or call limojet which is the airport limo supplier.
As the other post suggests you can also go to a high end rental car agency on no. 3rd and get a nice big mercedes or bmw for like $300/day and get someoene to drive it for you which should be easy if you have a lot of friends/family willing to help.
