Having multiple accounts (Soparik2 & jamescarmichael1970) and giving positive BST feedback to each other.

"Leaving negative or positive Feedback for a trade that did not happen is a bannable offense!"

Not to mention, the guy was selling multiple items for profit -- like a store would. He had trays of CPUs, not just one or two.

Not to mention he's selling unreleased products from AMD that he probably stole from work. Some of those CPUs were still under NDA.

wtf, why would the guy try to fake feedback if he had 40+ already, and was a legit seller. Makes no sense to me at all.

cause 1 he was a faker, 2 he was selling " unmarked " sampled cpu's that where sent out to pc places for promo systems & self testing purposes that breaks nda & rfd's rules right there & 3 as I pointed out to peaple privately I found it "fishy" that some user is on here selling multiples of not just 1 cpu but of like 2/3's of AMD's latest lineups & for absurdly low cost, this also affected the ability of anyone with a individual cpu for resale to sell it on here for a decent recovery price of the used unit.

I feel sorry for anyone that has boughten 1 of these cpu's & if they ever would have sent it off to AMD for replacement they would have been in DEEP crap. I mean think about, WHY would the guy offer direct replacement thru himself for up to 14 days later ... * grinz *

Needless to say, he has been reported to the "authorities" and that may or may not have played a part in his banning on RFD and perhaps his cubicle.

Yikes! I'm glad the CPU he *just* sold me is exactly as advertised... Too bad I won't get MY positive eval for the deal. :(

Oh well.

Thats weird... I bought 2 CPUs off him and didn't have any trouble. And it looks like he didn't leave 'himself' positive feedback until he already had like 40+ positive feedbacks, and the other account wasn't really used for anything... doesn't make sense to me.

You seem to know a lot about this... do you know where he works/worked? I want some pre-release samples to play with.

It's quite obvious where he works/worked. Entire trays of unreleased engineering sample CPUs don't appear magically out in the street.

Heh... I should've asked for an even *better* price then. ;) My 4850e wasn't THAT much cheaper than new retail. I hope it still has AMD warranty and isn't an engineering sample!

It's ok...I'll give you a fake one if you return the favour.

Um....I mean....PM me.

I got a couple of cpu's from him and they worked fine.
Just out of curiosity, what unreleased AMD stuff did he sell?

from my guess, phenoms, 4850's, and 4870's.

He sold me an OCZ GameXStream 700W PSU not too long ago and I do recall that he had many of them.

I asked if he was a reseller/distributor, but he just said he bought a lot of them with 'friends'.

Every cpu he offered was off of a unregistered/unmarked "sampler" skid of cpu
s that are ment to go to review sites or retailers to test or setup demo systems with.

One, they weren't that cheap when you factor in the $30-70 CPU cooler you had to buy, and two, they were less expensive for a reason. The CPUs were not to be sold. They were essentially review samples from all accounts.

I purchased one of his AMD Phenom II X3 720's. It's a great performing chip.

I have only one question. Where is all the proof that he was selling stolen or engineering sample CPUs? I have seen nothing but assumptions and conjecture posted here. . .

Where is the proof he wasn't?

He misrepresented himself to a lot of people that dealt with him, so why would you believe he's telling you the truth about the product he sold you?

The burden of proof lies with the accusers. If you're going to accuse a guy of wrong doing, you better be ready to back it up with hard evidence.

why would you believe he's telling you the truth about the product he sold you?
Because nobody here has proven otherwise.

Please post the undeniable proof you have that these were either stolen or that they were engineering samples that were illegally sold. I'll understand if you can't.

You have a CPU... contact AMD with the batch number. They will be able to verify if it was acquired through normal channels or not.

In reality... nobody has lost anything at this point. At worst, the CPUs don't have any warranty. The issue is the guy misrepresented himself as a normal person selling a regular oem CPU. The reality is he had trays of CPUs that a normal person wouldn't have access to. He was selling Phenom and Phenom II CPUs that companies like NCIX or NewEgg didn't even have.

Yup, just as I thought. You have nothing on him. It's just a bunch of little boys running around crying wolf.

Next time, before you guys run around accusing people of selling stolen items, I'd suggest having hard evidence first. Otherwise, STFU.

In reality... nobody has lost anything at this point.
The only smart statement you have made in this thread.

Hey mods, maybe you should consider closing this thread. There is no proof that soparik2 has sold any stolen or engineering sample CPUs. This has been nothing more than a witch hunt.

I never accused him of selling stolen items. I accused him of misrepresenting himself based on what he told me that likely wasn't revealed to all his buyers.

When you bought your CPU -- did you know he had trays of them? If so, did you ask why he had trays?

You are even in less of a position to comment as to his credibility. I am just posting what I know to be true (unless he lied to me). In addition, he was banned for posting feedback to himself! What kind of honest/credible person does that?

Yup, I knew full well what he was selling. I saw the pics. I didn't need to ask where he got them. I'm already privy to a few legitimate places where you can buy them like that from my troll hunting researches.

In addition, he was banned for posting feedback to himself! What kind of honest/credible person does that?
That's dubious at best. I mean come on now, do you truly believe that a guy with established feedback both here and on Heatware would jeopardize it by doing that?

I am just posting what I know to be true
Really?

None of the above statements are known to be true. I'm a "normal" person and know where trays of CPUs can be purchased. He was selling the Phenom II at the very same time Newegg was offering them and the last statement is nothing but BS.
