Hi, I was wondering if I purchased a dvd box set from amazon.com entirely in gift certificates, could I still get hit by import duties, taxes, etc.? Likewise if I pay part of it in gift codes, would the taxes be reduced? Thanks

how you pay is irrelevant.
there is a small chance you may get hit with additional taxes.

As long as you use standard shipping from Amazon.com you will never be charged taxes or duties.

yes, however i would still say there is a small chance it can happen. i believe Rehan mentioned he was dinged once. Personally i've never had an issue with .com.

The method of payment should make no difference in taxes or anything else. Whether you pay by GC or CC, it comes out to the same thing.
