I'm writing from the Fallsview Plaza Hotel (http://www.fallsviewplaza.com/?src=blvd) here in Niagara Falls.
This would be the hotel that's directly across from the Fallsview Casino, beside the Hilton (same tunnel connection) and formerly the Renaissance Hotel

One of the major benefits to this hotel is the ability to stay indoors and walk directly into the casino (without going outside) in the tunnel that connects the hotels and casino. Well, I should say that WAS a benefit to the hotel since the tunnel is NO MORE!

The tunnel is still in existence for those that visit the Hilton, but due to all the near by construction (I'm assuming) of the add-on to the Hilton here in Niagara Falls and the surrounding property, the tunnel that connected the Fallsview Plaza and the casino is no more. It's been torn down.

I thought I'd give everyone a heads up as my girlfriend and I have found it a pain to continually go outside. It may not be a "Big Deal" but when you choose this hotel with this specific feature in mind, it suddenly becomes an inconvenience for you.

No word on if and when the tunnel will be re-built. Unfortunately, this will make me re-consider future stays.

When you asked for a supervisor at the hotel lobby/desk, and told your straightforward story about choosing the hotel based on that great tunnel, did they refund part of your bill?

btw I'm being serious.

Sounds ridiculous that the Fallsview Hotel does not link directly to the Fallsview Casino. Which bozo came up with that idea?

I wonder how that happened. If I was the management of the hotel I wouldn't have let them tear down the tunnel that would've been the only thing the hotel was good for.

I'm too "Nice" in these situations ... it's not so much that I don't even have the face to forcefully discuss it (because I do), it's just overall, I think I'm too forgiving.
Besides which, I think discussing the matter (and the fact that I'll put up a few online reviews), especially here on RFD where we regular grab up all the rooms for this hotel.

I don't think anyone will be able to stay here again without knowing this first. And honestly, it has still been a pain.

Here's what I'm talking about:
