Any taxes applied to purchases made on Amazon.ca? When I was at check out, I didn't notice any taxes being applied.

I think Marketplace does not apply taxes...
I am not sure, but I tested with one time with Eternal Poison (PS2) $29.99... only charged shipping... it seems.

I believe this may be why the OP didn't get charged taxes

Noooooo!!!!!

If I did that I would of received my printer for $27 (they sent $11 back because it was missing a printer cable... which strangely it wasn't supposed to have originally -- doesn't make much sense, I know).
