I called Logitech today to request an RMA for my mouse because the scroll wheel was starting to become loose, which affected the horizontal scroll. The rep told me to mail in the mouse, receiver, or charger as proof of purchase. I decided to send in the charger because I still need to use the mouse while I'm waiting for my replacement. However, the label with the serial and info on it is damaged, so the serial of the charger is unreadable, will this affect the RMA? But, I already told the rep the serial of the mouse.

:arrowu: Weird. My VX Revo stopped working, based on tech rep troubleshooting over the phone, determined battery wire became detached, rep says its common, asked for the serial off the bottom of the mouse, says based on serial mouse is fairly new, proceeds to send me a new VX, does not want the old one or proof of purchase.
(BTW soldered wire, now I have two)

if you have the receipt you can fax it in or email it to save on shipping cost cuz they dont really need the mouse back

I'm not sure but I think the serial # sticker on the charger must be there when they check it out by technicians. When I RMA my MP3, they asked if my serial # is labeled on the back of the device, I said why, they said they won't honour my warranty if the stick is not there or unreadable. I don't know how Logitech works but I think you should send them all your parts so they can verify you did indeed own them. As well, attach an invoice for proof. Just my $0.02... :cheesygri:cheesygri

I don't have the receipt anymore and I don't want to send them the mouse and receiver because it's my only mouse.
The rep already verified that I'm still covered by the warranty based on the serial number on the mouse. If they just need a proof of purchase then they shouldn't need the serial on the charger.
Oh well, I'll see what happens when they receive it

Okay, I recieved my tracking number for the replacement MX. According to UPS, they are shipping my replacement using UPS Saver?? Is this UPS Worldwide Saver? What service does Logitech usually use to ship RMAs?
If it is in fact UPS Worldwide Saver, I hope I get my new mouse tomorrow, as the description for the services advertises next day arrival to Canada.:D

To be honest with you, Logitech has one of the best (if not the best) costumer services in PC-Gadget-universe ... I've been very impressed by their speed, courtesy and willingness to go above and beyond to help costumer.
Buying logitech product is worth every penny ..
