I've had the misfortune of purchasing a case-mate product. I'm talking about there "high end" carbon fiber leather case. The supposedly high quality leather case made of "durable" material fell apart in a couple of months. There clips lasted only a couple of weeks before they snapped. I am pretty careful with my iPhone as it is and can't believe a case priced at such a premium could be so lousy.

Case-mate's "quality" products have limited 30 day warranty and also doesn't cover at all discontinued. I suppose if they boast about the high quality of there products the should have a lifetime warranty. But that's not the case (forgive the pun)

Caveat Emptor.

I have the Case-Mate leather sleeve on my MacBook Pro. It's fantastic. 11 months in, no marks on the case and of course none on the MacBook Pro as a result.

Where did you get the iPhone case-mate case? How much was it? Was it a discontinued product when you bought it?
