Not sure when the deal ends.

The dark meat restriction kills it for me. I hate when places do that, you ask for white and they want another $2. Give me a break.

I don't see anything on the ordering website for this deal, where is it? I see Meal Deal but that's 1 person. Nothing about 2 Can Dine in the website!

Actually you sort of can... they sell the Chalet sauce as a powder mix at the grocery store.

I stopped going to Swiss Chalet a few years ago when they started to down-size the chickens. I swear I thought they were serving Cornish game hens and trying to pass them off as a regular sized chicken.

Much better deal to either roast the chicken yourself, or buy a pre-roasted chicken from Costco... then cook up the sauce yourself with the mix packet.

Of course you lose the ambience of the Chalet restaurant

The prices are higher for delivery. I always pickup to avoid the extra charges.

I usually buy the cooked whole roasted chicken from the grocery store, also choose a couple of sides dishes.
eg. potato wedges/balls, pasta~salad, instant rice, garlic~bread, dessert~cake, 2L pop and a sauce (chalet mix or bottle of nandos <---broil chicken w/the sauce for 10mins)

Feeds 4 hungry souls for $20-25.

.

Damn, I could eat one of those chickens by myself. Can't see how that would feed four people.

If you don't mind forgoing the pie and cans of pop, you can get 6 legs and 4 sides for about the same price.

I think that the deal with the pie and pop is more likely to be ordered by a workplace etc so that they can give employees a complete meal with minimal effort. People ordering from home would usually have drinks already.

I don't have it often but last time I went to Swiss Chalet I was at a food court and got a quarter chicken. The thing was tiny, at least 20-30% smaller than my previous visit. I complained and no one cared. Very disappointed.

For the money, there are better chicken places, a great Portugese place just around the corner for one!

Now your talking!!! There is a Portuguese place close to me that has a $30 meal that consists of:

2 whole chickens
Large rice, or fries etc.
Medium little round potates, or other medium side
8 fresh mini buns
medium gravy (spicy, mild etc.)

Would rather buy that than 2 quarter dark meat meals from SC anyday!!

Oh well, ordered the family pack for pickup. A few bucks more for a couple more sides. The promo code worked great, took 4 or 5 guesses.

family meal is where it's at....
if you like the dark meat, you can switch your whole chicken to 6 dark quarters, 4 sides, 4 rolls, sauce for under $30 tax/tip/delivery in.

would you rather they charge everybody $2 more

white meat costs more, so they charge more. what's so hard to understand:confused: do you expect all cuts of a cow to cost the same?

I find their chicken dry and tasteless, small portions.. and the dipping sauce.. UGH!

Sorry :).

Actually white meat does not cost more when you are making whole chickens! White meat is in higher demand, so the rules of supply and demand allow them to charge more, also I have noticed at Swiss Chalet that the white portions seem to be actually bigger than the dark meat so it not as evil as it seems.

Best deal is the double leg dinner or get the six legs as opposed to the whole chicken

Try that link, it randomly appears in a banner in the forums. Once you log in and select delivery it should pop the deal up.

boooo, most grocery stores sell Whole Roast Chicken + Baguette + a large side for like $9!!! Will feed 3 hungry people easily. (I know Galati and Longos do this for sure)
