Reviews on this model are not stellar, but the iPAQ 510 is on clearance online at Staples. Not a bad price for an unlocked smart phone with wifi. Showing in stock for me in NB, but likely out of stock for many of you... I haven't looked at coupons lately, but I imagine there are XX off $150 coupons out there, so add a $2.03+ filler item to save even more...

At least one in stock in Regina, I just saw it yesterday. I wasn't impressed with it though. 200 MHz would be quite slow compared to the newer smartphones. No QWERTY keyboard and no touch screen to write on, I wonder how one would even send emails on it efficiently. The screen is a bit too small for web browsing.
The only thing I can think of would be connecting to WiFi with it and make skype calls. Too bad WiFi coverage is pretty crappy in this town.

the phantom stock period fades off at around ~5-6 AM EST, so if it's showing instock for you now, it's prbly not phantom stock ;)

I've had one for a year. It's ok, as long as you can put up with Windows Mobile 6. My main complaint about it is low maximum volume.

any GSM carrier.
Well there is only one GSM carrier, Rogers, in Canada at this moment. However, many companies are selling service over it such as Rogers, Fido, 7-11 spreakout and etc....

Hardly dead. Found this for $99.97 in store this past week. Torn if I should keep it as a skype phone, as I am stuck on Bell CDMA for the next 18 months.
Gone from the website, but there is still store stock at a few locations.
