Thought I start a thread on on discounted Valentine's Day chocolates/candy.

Going into RCSS to pickup some cinnamon hearts tomorrow, as I've finished my discounted chocolates from Christmas.

Post your haul and at what price.

walmart had Maltesers (the tall/standing bag) for 2.88 BEFORE the valentines day. I am not sure about it now. I wish I had grabbed more.

walmart at markville mall has some tobelrone bars for 3.48 it's the 400gram ones.

Cinnamon hearts for 1.00
Quality street chocolate for 8 bucks. The big tin boxed ones.

Lindor for 5 dollars- 450 gram ones

hershey kisses for 1.25- 125 grams

everything at walmart is 50% off

I went to Laura Secord at Markville mall in Markham. The valentine candy was not discounted very much. Yesterday the bags of chocolate were 3 for $15 and today each bag was $4 each.
The biggest discount was the Christmas chocolate. I got a pretty big bag of foil wrapped (presents, Santa Claus etc.) chocolate for $2.

However, Zellers offers 50% (55% with SPC) discount on all Valentine's Day stuff.

Bought some Toblerone 400g 7.49 x 0.5 = 3.74 x 0.9 (SPC) = 3.37 x 1.13 = 3.81

Crap!! I was just at Lougheed Mall. I could have checked out Wal-Mart, London Drugs, and Safeway. The next time I can go is Tuesday and it will be too late for sure.

Just came back from Vancouver Wal-Mart just before they closed. Still lots of Valentine's Day chocolates left... all at 50% off.

all vday stuff at walmart is 50% off...stockup on candy/chocolate, stuffed bears and other goodies for random surprizes for your special someone throughout the year (bday, aniversary,...etc)

Zellers! Was at my local Zellers(Pincourt,MTL) today and picked up a couple things. Got a package of Hershey`s Kisses Trio for $1.49.Its milk,dark and white all swirled in one kiss....and man are they good.Havent had or even seen them before this but they have hearts all over them so I suppose thats why they are on sale.I only picked up the one bag since its the only one I saw.

Also picked up an oriental style purse for 75 cents.Was with the other impulse buys that are on sale.

As an additional side note...went to my local Pharmaprix and saw animated santas leftover from Christmas for just $3:)

www.chocodirect.com still has some valentine or else heart shaped items on sale- but they are not super cheap.

Sarotti Tiamo chocolates in hear box: $7.50 reg $20.75 and goot till may 2009!

They don't have super cheap sales as these items are good for at least 3 more months and not "old" yet...

But I did place an order 2 weeks ago and prices were the same.
I ended up spending $100 after tax and shipping and was sent $25 of "free" sale chocolate bars (reeived a 200 gram bag of Dolfin chocolate flakes, large Valor hazelnut bar, Swiss delice milk chocolate w bubbles like Aero, 2 Sarotti bars :)

One item that really stood out from my order that I'd reccomend is the liquor fruits they sell. They are not on sale, but they are very good.
They are all under the Cherry Rocher brand if you look by brand. But they have 2 different brands for sale. I bought the 200 gram alcohol cherries t hat say "les parisiennes" on the label and is the only 200 gram size.

They were very good and they have 15% alcohol. The cherries are very small as it is a specific type of cherry.
Next time I will buy a bigger jar, but they also have rasberries with alchol, pineapple with rhum and even figs!
If anyone tries those let me know or post a review.

I just noticed if you click on the 1 liter jars you can read the labels more easily and it clearly says 15%.
I had originally emailed them with this question a while back.

i was hoping to find some godiva vday biscuit gifts on sale but all they have are the truffle collections and chocolates for 50% off... still a little pricier than hersheys and lindt but for 50% off their brand is pretty good...

other than chocolates and candy, hallmark and carlton cards marked down their vday stuff at 50% off... teddy bears, cards, vday mugs, photo frames, etc....
