They're giving away free Kia's in Newmarket. The catch? You have to buy a house....

The only real problem with buying a Kia is that you then have to drive a Kia.

All the auto makers have never before seen deals but it seems like Chrysler, Kia and Hyundia are pretty much giving cars away.

I have no idea how you make money with these prices.

For the Rondo:
Cash back and 0%: $300 cash back and 0% financing for 36 months. Any financing > 36 months are not eligible for the $300.
The rebate to dealer for CASH deals is $2500.
IMO the only deal (if you call it a deal) for purchasers financing (ie 48 months) is the 1.9% rate.

Those are some cool looking cars, they've really got the next gen styling down... watch out for KIA! They are the new Honda/Toyota.

Ummm.... Good styling does not make a Honda/Toyota. High resale value and reliability make a Honda/Toyota.

Agreed - Kia has actually come a long way over the last 5 years... I think they are making improvements. The Soul comes with an 100K mile powertrain warranty, which is nice too.

I saw the Add somewhere but Ican't find the deal on their website. Don't quite understand the special. 0% for 60 months but amoritized over 84 months. My instinct tells me that it ends up not being 0%. Interested in the Spectra 5 Auto + Air. Anyone priced one out with taxes, PDI and everything?

Anyone interested, here's a Retail Price/Wholesale Price:

2010 Kia Soul 5dr Wgn Auto 4u
Small Station Wagon

Base $21,195.00 $19,889.00
Freight $1,650.00 $1,650.00

I have nothing to do with KIA, but I can explain how this part of the advertising works. Your payments are calculated at 0% up to 60 months.

So lets use Ben's chart for example:

2010 KIA Soul 5DR

Price: $23,145
Omvic: $5
13% taxes

Total on the Road: $26,159.5

$26,159.5: The first 60 months of payments are calculated at 0%. Once you reach month 60, the remaining balance between month 60-84 is either payable then or you can renegotiate with the bank to finance the remaining balance.

$26,159.5 divide by 84 months = $311.42. The first 60 months your payments is $311.42 at 0%. The remaining 24 months balance of $7474.08 is renegotiated with the banks at whatever the going bank rates are.

Just to let you know, when a customer chooses 0% financing, the banks make on average between $3000-$6000, regardless of Domestic or Imports.

Hope this helps.

So is it better to get a bank loan and buy it? Pay 4-5% instead on 3000 to 6000 less?

Since it just came out, there are no incentives for it, unlike the rest of the KIA lineup(which has $2000-$4000 off)

lol. I hope your kidding.

What's so 'lol' about it? As the cliche goes, I'm sure American companies were saying the same thing when Honda/Toyota hit North American shores.

Kia, and more importantly Hyundai, has nowhere to go but up. All they need to do is to find their own styling niche rather than copying current trends from other manufacturers.

Agreed look at the sales in January and February. Guess who's sales aren't down. Hyundai and Kia! Good product at good price = sales.
