What's the law say when an emergency vehicle is approaching you from behind on a large, multi-lane highway?
On regular roads you're supposed to pull over but do they expect everyone to slow down from 100 km/h (and more) to 0 km/h for a few seconds? Or do you just have to reduce your speed and get out of the way?

slow down and make room for us to go by,,,, and on hwy,, we go by on either side,,, as we are getting report by our dispatch as to what side of hwy lanes we are needed. Some emerg vehicles have govenors in them to control the spd so they cannot exceed limit by much at all

No, don't even consider or think about slowing down to 0 km/h. Obvious reason it's dangerous. Nobody anticipating a complete stop on the highway even when they hear sirens.
This is what I do... If you see one coming behind your lane, signal your attentions way ahead to let them know you're going to change lanes. If you're too slow, they'll just pass you on the other lane or shoulder.
I know the rule is suppose to pull over to the right and stop for emergency vehicles on streets. I do pull to the right but I seldom stop. I even saw something on TV that some drivers who pull over and stop actually impedes them and they hate it. Do it right and it's good. Do it wrong = FAIL.

Common sense dude, do u slam on your brakes and swerve to the right? Doesn't make much sense does it? Just move over if you can
