Another page of specs, showing the video is intel 4500hd. Looks like this one got everything one can ask for.

Can someone comment on the deal? Looks warm to me. Similar specs toshiba at FS is $799, The Dell weekend only deal has higher price for same config. In the market for a new laptop. Thanks!

Thanks OP!

I've had this laptop since the beginning of december VERY shortly after it's release the only complaint I really have about it is that like all bilingual laptops it will randomly switch to french. There are no complaints on how it runs, I game a fair amount and have no complaints video or processor wise. HP has great customer service if you ever need them. I would say hot deal for sure:!:

this comes to a little over $800 with shipping and taxes ,was at futureshop and they had similar HP 15.4" Pavilion AMD Athlon X2 QL-62 Dual-Core 2.0GHz Laptop ,this had better graphics card but different processor .Sales rep said he could drop price by $50 so it would be around $860(including taxes)

I would say it's a pretty good deal. Any one can find any better deal? Also anyone knows how much HP charge for shipping?

a dual core is not comparable to a c2d CPU ...
$700 is a pretty good deal for a HP c2d laptop.
the 4500HD is only comparable to the GeForce 8400 G ( bit slower than the 8400 GS )

And if you want even cheaper, here's a refurbished notebook for $449.97,

The processors for these two are slightly older. Not sure how fast the DDR2 memory modules are compared to the featured HP notebook though.

They are dual core not c2d processor, also less RAM, smaller hard drive, no wireless N, so you can't really compare those 2 with the dv5 1135ca. I'm tempted to get one, not sure how long the ecoupon will be valid.

I agee not Core 2 Duo plus only 2GB Ram and a 32 bit OS

Please stop compare Dual core to Core 2 duo people. They're two totally different cpu.

The closest laptop I have found in this price range is the gateway M-6874
** refers to this thread http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=700998&highlight=gateway

The vid card in the gateway is a lot faster. ( ATI HD2600 XT vs GMA4500HD )
The HP has better finish/ build quality overall IMO.

The price is good. It's not hot because it's discounted at fair price. But those who are looking for a laptop should definitely consider this one!

Practically the same machine ( with a bit more hdd space ) but you pay $300 more b/c of the "accessories" that you could get for around ~$50-100
