I sent an item to the States on Sunday so it can be shipped on Monday and till now, I only get a confirmation that the item is accepted at the store office since Monday. It's been Friday and the item hasn't been shipped to the States yet for warranty. I don't know what's been taking so long. Few days ago, I shipped an envelope to the States and it arrived within 3 days. This package seems to take longer than usual... :(:(:(

Sorry, I lost my patience... :(:(:(

I dont see a question or anything in here. Fail post.

Sorry, I was going to put the question but I deleted it. My question is, in your experience, how will did it take you to ship with Canada Post expedited shipping???:confused::confused:

Expedited Parcel USA is a slow ground service. Depending on where it's going, it can take up to two weeks or more. For example, the last time I used it, it took nine business days for my package to reach its destination in California.

Also keep in mind that the tracking won't update until it's finally delivered.

Canada Post web site is lousy. The updates on the site are slow.
I have seen such items delivered to me before its even updated on the site.

the site will not be updated as long as the package is still in canada ..meaning that it has to pass custom before it show where it is ...i have sen boxes in the past that took 3-6 day to get to texas and other took 3 week and all that time it only show receive at the station ..as it was stuck at custom

YAH! I got a confirmation from Canada Post right now that my item is delivered to California. Man, shipping took 5 days. I'm so glad it didn't take more than 5 days...:razz::razz:

As for there being no scans except for when you bring the package into the post office, I have mixed results. Some of time, it goes right through with no updates until it is delivered. Other times, the people at Canada Post go bar code scanner happy and scan the package in every 12 hours. The thing I have in common with almost all packages going to the US is that USPS almost never does any scans of the barcode until the actual delivery (and sometimes don't even do that).

user01, you are lucky that Toronto to a city in California only took 5 days. While Canada Post quotes approximately 8 business days for Expedited USA for that destination, my personal experience has been that is usually takes closer to 3 weeks.

This question keeps popping up every once in a while. Canada Post Expedited Parcel shipping to USA usually goes by Ground (usually 2 weeks or so for me, but may take up to 4 weeks during peak holiday seasons).

Although Canada Post actually uses the words "Tracking" on several different places both on their website, receipt and (some) advertising, they technically do NOT have tracking services.

They have "Delivery Confirmation" but no tracking services.

It's a loophole that essentially gets them out of a bind when people complain about their ****** tracking services.

IMO, it's tracking if the package tells me where it is, by definition of the word 'track', Canadapost has tracking services, but so far as they're concerned, they offer "Delivery Confirmation" and not tracking.

For future reference, once a package crosses into the United States, it can be tracked on USPS.com with your Canada Post Delivery Confirmation number....

The USPS site gets updated when the package gets scanned, the Canada Post one does not.
