- Spectra successor, the Forte
- The styling that the Forte introduces is Kia's new look, from the pen of Peter Schreyer, also responsible for the first-gen New Beetle and TT. He has worked at Audi for more than 25 years.

It's time for a revolution.
Kia, Hyundai, Suzuki are all moving on up.
This Kia looks pretty good, i'd do a second take thinking it was a Honda Civic.
If the prices are kept significantly lower than their competitors, they will make a killing.
A decade ago, no one would be seen in one. Now i see Kias everywhere.
this looks like a midsize car, and fitted with a 2.0l, it should boot quite well.

IS350 rear (except taillights are angled down instead of up) and Civic front ... bottom line NICELY DONE!

Acura TSX.
Looks better than a Civic, imo. Need some nice interior and you're good to go.
Someone said KIA and Hyundia is owned by the same company?

more than looks....needs a competitve drive. Everything looks better than a civic.....but in the class few can match its other areas. Still a good improvement for KIA.
KIa is owned by Hyundai.

It's a good looking little thing. Apparently the top-of-the-line model gets a 2.4L motor and a six-speed stick

Kia is a joke, unreliable in long run and poor poor re-sale value. Not to mention it's not keeping job in our Country.

You're right on the resale value part (though it's getting better), but how do you know about long-term reliablility if the car hasn't even been released yet? Oh wait, it's because you're a fanboy!

So KIA cobbled together the Honda Civic's head lights, the Lexus IS' tail lights, and slapped a new badge on their ill-performing Spectra?

Pretty much! A recipe for success I say (give a little something in terms of styling for the Honda buyers and the Toyota/Lexus buyers, a reliable car with a slightly lower price et voila! ) Buyers might have slightly lower resale value in terms of the % drop, but they're putting less upfront to begin with (pretty important for folks in a recession).
