hi i just purchased a TV with best buy..

should I have received a package to get a free HDTV box for a like 6 months or something like that??

or is that a long gone promotion

if not..how would I go abouts getting a HDTV box..do i just call rogers or visit a rogers store..also the household for what the cable/tv is hooked up with is under my dad's name....should I have my dad call or come with me to the rogers store..or would I be able to order it myself.

Thanks

i believe it's 19.99 for 6 months... and you don't get the box, you have to contact rogers to get a box.

I believe if you take the TV receipt to Rogers they will do it for you.

The person who the Rogers account name is in has to go.

Buying a new TV also lets you purchase a new box at a discount, which is something you can also consider.

Go back to Bestbuy and ask them why you weren't offered an HD box for $99.99!

Yup, that's what I bought when I bought my HDTV. 20 bucks and you get a year of free regular HDTV box rental (offer is not as long when you get the HDTV PVR). The digital service (connection) fee is still charged ($5) but at least you're saving yourself $12.95 per month for a year.

You have a piece of paper in the box that has a unique code. You call (or go to a store) Rogers and you tell them that you have that specific offer from when you bought the hdtv, and they'll set everything up. You then have to send to Rogers the form that came in the box with the unique number, as well as a copy (or the original, not sure) of your HDTV receipt. That's it!
