I'm ordering from a company within Canada that offers free shipping UPS Standard Ground, orders over $99.
I don't see it on the UPS site, are there any extra UPS fees at my door?
Thanks

Ups only charges extra brokerage fees if the item was shipped from outside the country.

if the company is in canada, but the item is shipped from china or usa, or whatever, you'll be charged brokerage fees.

There shouldn't be any charges for packages within Canada. The notorious UPS charge for packages from US, shipped UPS Ground, is related to Custom Brokerage fees.

They are imported from China, shipped from Richmond BC, not direct from overseas, I think. Does that change anything?

Most of the stuff we buy is made in China, sent to BC, and then shipped from there. Does that change anything? Do you ever recall paying something extra?

If goods are shipped from Richmond, BC, there are no charges on receiver end. Where goods originated from is not relevant since goods have already cleared Customs.

The company is in BC but I think the products are shipped from Richmond, BC.
The only other time I have used UPS in the last 5 years is from monoprice, from the U.S., so I don't know about domestic.
I'll call them tomorrow, thanks :)

If the item is already within Canada, then you wont incur extra charges.

If however the item is being shipped from outside Canada, youll incur extra charges.

It doesn't matter whether the company is based in here or not, its where the item is coming from.
