...and they won't price match Sam's either.
Here's a tip though, Costco pricing can be different from store to store. Costcos near Sams will have lower prices.

At my location in downtown Vancouver, if someone mentions that something is lower elsewhere, I typically check into it. If it is, I email the appropriate people to let them know. It sometimes results in something happening, but it takes a couple of days.
Having said that, what is the item you saw?

Pricematches and outside coupons, they always pull the "No, we are wholesale".
On the other hand, I have seen Staples pm Costco.

GYR8Futureshop has Sony's KDL52V4100 LCD on sale now for $1900. My sister told me the same set was at our local Costco for something like $2200. I'd much rather get it at Costco if I could, but I don't want to pay $300 for the privilege.
I'm still kicking myself for not grabbing the KDL52WL140 when Costco had it on sale on their website for $1900 ($600 off!) a couple weeks ago... I wonder if they would still give it to me for that price?

Hi there,
I will check into it, but I am pretty certain that Costco Canada does not carry the KDL52V4100. We do have the KDL52WL140, which is similar to the KDL52W4100. Your sister probably saw the WL140.
As far as the website goes, I don't have any knowledge of it ever being $600 off. I *think* there was an older model a while back that might have had a final price of around $1900-$2000 after an instant rebate (Perhaps for display models in-store?), but my memory isn't doing me any favours right now. :o If this was the case, then I think this took place months ago...

There you have the 'secret' of Costco. Everything there is a slightly different model. (And, often, it costs less even if it includes extra features/components.)

Costco is a bit different. They are not any authorized retailer of many stuff.
I got a gift at swarovski. The saleslady told me the crystals at costco is not warranty covered and not an authorized retailer.
Costco store has a sign beside some electronic, like BOSE speakers, no warranty from BOSE (but we have 3rd party giving warranty)

Costco does not price match anybody including themselves.

While they do not pricematch, I've seen a few threads of some costco locations lowering their price to compete with Sam's club or something like that on a certain model. So even if they don't pricematch, maybe its worth it to just bring it up with a manager. Probably a low-likelyhood of this working but I have seen at least two "deals" like this at costco.

So GYR8, is the statement by FIRST.DOG true that the prices at Costco near a Sam's club are lower than a Costco not near a Sam's Club?????

FYI... here's the evidence...
I bought a 221158 Utility Table for at Costco (Winton Churchill) for 59.99 on 08-Jan. I bought another from Costco (Etobicoke) for 49.69 on 15-Jan.
I check Sam's (Etobicoke) two days later and the exact same table (same mfg & product) was $42.##!
I went back to Costco (WC) and they would not price protect down to 49.69. They said "the price is lower at Etobicoke because they have to compete with Sam's."
I now do all my Costco shopping at Etobicoke.

Costco doesn't price match, just price protect via their return policy...
Example, you buy a TV @ regular price, next week there is a coupon, you can get the coupon back but to do this you need to first buy the TV @ the new price and then return the new TV using the old invoice (the CSR actually tells you to do this).

Based on what others have mentioned, that might be the case. But I don't work at any of those locations and there aren't any Sam's Clubs here in B.C., so I am far removed from this.

On the Swarovski, I believe you are correct. However, on the Bose, I am pretty certain that the product actually IS coming from Bose. I will try to remember to check into this.

Bose is dealing with Costco Canada.
Most stores should have the official bose speaker station.
Which If I recall is the V10 model, $1800....
Could be wrong on the model #..
And yes, Swarvski does not deal with Costco Canada.
Neither does Sharp (for tvs)

Scott84 is totally correct. I checked into it and the Bose products are indeed coming from Bose Canada. The V10 is the model # too.

This may have just been the CSR that you dealt with. My experience and others have reported the same thing, is that you just go to customer service and they will do the adjustment there. No need to repurchase and return.

as long as you have your bill and the product is in stock, theyll let you do a price adjustment on something you bought earlier.
theyll tell you to buy it and return it if you don't have your original receipt
