hey guys,
First time looking to buy a car
Just wondering if a 2009 Altima, used 400km. Also its the pearl white edition, so it has the extra packages. When i went online on nissan and built the same care it was like $33,000. This person is offering the car for 29,900.
But i am willing to pay in cash, do you guys think i could get a quote for more off, or should i get more??

OK, how else were you going to pay for a private sale??
The configured Altima if full list correct?? In this market I'd go into a Nissan dealership and see how the #s work out.

I wouldn't buy that..if that is the price they have offered, the discount is not going to be huge..
I would wait for genesis coupe..you can get fully loaded genesis coupe 2.0T with that price.

I would wait for the Genesis coupe, then decide. By then, you can probably get the Altima coupe for less as Genesis coupe will be a direct competitor. Plus if you have cash, you are the king :D

+2 to wait on the Genesis. Oh, and Honda magically increased its cash factory discount to $ 3k off on a V6 Accord Coupe. That happened the day after Hyundai announced pricing on the new Genesis Coupe at the Toronto Auto Show. Coincidence?

The only concern might be RWD in winter even with snow tires. FWD is much better in winter here. Obviously AWD is the best, but RWD is downright terrible on my friends' G35, IS, and a few others with snow tires.

Before buying the Altima coupe, check out its trunk. The Altima coupe has a VERY small trunk...

Genesis coupes come in i4 turbo or V6, no V8, so can't be 4 more cylinders.

Isn't the Genesis coupe smaller than the Altima?

It's about the same size as the accord from what i saw.
Im unsure why you're comparing the MSRP against the dealer's price of the old car since nobody pays MSRP. Are you sure you cant get a new Altima for 29k on the road?

I agree, wait for genesis to come out. Maybe Nissan will react and give more discounts.

An Accord EX-L coupe ($30,390) is probably a better car than the Altima. It will also hold its value MUCH better.
