So Im in a deal that seems to have been going south for awhile now.
~2 months ago, I met up with a fellow RFD member to buy a motherboard.
It was missing some parts, so we decided that I would withhold $10 and we can meet again sometime soon for the missing parts and finish up the deal.
Well the xmas season comes and goes, and i get intouch with him again, asking to meetup. Now he asks to meetup at a different location, farther for me from the first place. I ask him to ship the parts, and I would send the $10 via EMT when i receive the parts. Days turn into weeks, and im still waiting.
When is enough enough?

It's a wash. You should have known better than to buy it incomplete.

I agree, you took the discount. He really doesn't owe you anything at this point.

My question to everyone!!
Why do you purchase anything off anyone if you aren't getting what was originally agreed upon???
If I were to meet someone and they didn't include everything in the package, I would tell him to compensate me for wasting my time and leave! I think all RFDr's should do the same, so that sellers will put more effort in their part of delivering what they promised.

I'd say so. He didn't live up to his end of the deal.

Remember when you told me to call you about the keyboard that you said was mine? You even said "Call me tomorrow and we can meet & the keyboard is yours". But you decided to go black Friday shopping and didn't bother to give me a heads up? Looks like karma bit you in the rear take your lumps and walk it off. What gets me pissed is we did two prior transactions with no problems whatsoever.

well i gotta call at 1am "do you wanna come?"
i said yes, i was in a car 15 minutes later.
when i got back i still offered it to you, but you said you got another somewhere else. I was just unavailable for a few days. Im sorry you couldnt wait a few days for a keyboard, but maybe I can make it up to you the next time Ive got something that peeks your interest.
As for Rai_Polo, i dont know what im gonna do....

Now that you explained yourself I understand. I really hate to lose a good seller like yourself. Got any good deals on a LCD pc monitor?
PS. my soul is not as a dark as my avatar.

Ok, just to be clear. Everytime I've done buisness with this guy I've been a nice guy and dropped off my gear minutes away from his house. So now this guy is under the impression I'm some kind of delivery service?
Balou, I called you while in your area with the SLI bridge and I/O panel and asked if I could come drop it off which you declined. I asked you to meet me at Downsview station which you declined.
So if you want your stuff stop being lazy and meet me somewhere central.
And bring my $10.

No, you had two choices at the time. One, walk away from the deal, or two, alter the deal. You picked the second option and altered the deal. In theory, the seller has completed the deal and $10 for the accessories is a new deal. The problem is that you didn't withhold enough money to make completing the deal in a timely manner a little more worthwhile.
So if you want your stuff stop being lazy and meet me somewhere central.
And bring my $10.

I've dealt with Rai_polo on many occassions and after reading this thread, I'm irritated that balou would choose to post his name up in here. Nothing worse than a good trader's rep getting tarnished over something so petty and foolish. Rai is a solid and trustworthy trader and I would deal with him anytime without hesitation and I was truly surprised that he was mentioned in this thread.
The onus is on the buyer to accomodate the seller. They got what you want so it's up to you to make it happen. If the terms of sale are not to your liking, go elsewhere. Recently, I drove from Scarborough to Oshawa through a storm just to pick up some gear that I wanted, so the fact that you can't meetup with someone (a reliable and likeable trader) in the GTA, well that speaks to your unwillingness to compromise. Plus, when you accepted $10 off, you effectively modified the deal and thus are owed nothing. Rai attempted on several occassions to come through and get the parts delivered, you chose not to make it happen. Stop being so pompous and suck it up...it's 10 bucks worth of stuff and you had many chances to get it resolved. Don't expect people to come to your doorstep so you can do them the "favour" of buying their gear. You only buy stuff on the cheap anyways, so be reasonable.

LoL, give me a break, na if it wasnt as you liked you should have walked away..
This compensate for wasting your time thing is a joke. but when a deal is done during a "meet" and paid with cash there isnt much u can do at all.
Shipping a item + Paypal is about 100x more secure

Thanks Nademon,
To update everyone, I contacted Balou yesterday and offered to drive all the way to Jane and Dundas with the gear, about 5 minutes away from his house.
Balou, you replied: "Could u make it either janr&bloor or jane&runnynede? Both are much easier for me. Tues is good. What time?"
So you guys decide who's really the problem here?
Balou, I'll be at Jane and Dundas in the Price Chopper parking lot between 6:45 - 7pm Tues May 13th with the I/O sheild and SLI bridge. Lets wrap this up please.

Why you couldn't mail it to me is what I can't figure out????
Jane&dundas is like 30mins away from via ttc.
I'll meet you at the parking lot as you mentioned.

There is no security mailing it via regular mail.
I'm not going to announce where you live, but Jane and Dundas is 3.5 kms from your front door, so please stop with the melodrama. Hop on a bike and you'll be there in 10 minutes.
