Muffler gasket keeps leaking

The gasket between catalytic converter and muffler pipe. This has been going on for years with me replacing gaskets. I replaced the catalytic converter recently because its flange was eroded but this did not solve the problem. It leaks from bottom so Im thinking mufller might be sagging at that point? The bolts are tight. Does a leak destroy the gasket? thanks.

If you have recently replaced the converter, then take it back to the shop and tell them your problem. Don't tell them this has been going on for years, just say that it happened since. Have them fix it.
This problem seems odd to me. It is a simple connection and very little effort to do it right. I don't know what you did wrong in the first place an it is odd it is still an issue.
