I just got a call from premium buyers club saying that I won 1 of 4 prizes. All I had to do is show up at an awards cerimony to claim my prize. Of course I thought it was a scam so I looked at the forum. Although many thought that it was suspicious, nobody had actually gone and all of the postings were at least 6 monthes old. The address given to pick up the prize hasn't changed, and they are still operating so I am going to check it out tomorrow. Their web site is now up and running and all seems legit but I'll let you all know tomorrow if it is legit

Let us know if your house is mysteriously shipped to Nigeria. Good luck.

I mean no disrespect, but do you have any warrants out for your arrest? Reason I ask is I've seen on tv where sometimes the police set up these sorts of stings. They often film it and you see these people walking in, all happy because they won something, only to be handcuffed and you can see the confusion in their faces. LOL

i think my dad went to one of these things. he got a free breakfast, then as soon as they started talking about how he would have to pay to claim his prize he just left.

Well I knew that this site could be informative but entertaining?--BONUS!!
At least most of you are well intentioned and no I don't have any warrents (I hope), but to the person who posted it is a waste of internet space, did you look at your posting. I guess in this wonderful world we have to put up with all types, even you. I post the results of this little adventure tomorrow. If there is anyone out there who actually attended this premium buyers club event I'd appreciate hearing from you as any one else is simply uninformed

haha, reminds me of the episode of simpsons, when homer tries to claim his free prize (boat i think) from the police station and they make him pay for his tickets instead...lol

LOL, I will be looking forward to hearing what actually happens when you go... my vote is that it's a timeshare scam.

Edit: see here (http://phoneowner.info/Number.aspx/9992997676).
I use to work for them for a year, they use to go by Canadian universal network solutions, and use to by off of airport road. they closed because they got fined so much. they ditched all their emploies, didn't pay us.
They wont admit to changing to the new company, they are currently on the run.
when you go you get a sales pitch to buy a 10000 membership that saves you money on plane tickets, cars and houses and s**t. it is not worth the money, and you dont get to save any money, it is a big scam. that company is a big scam.
They owe me my cheque from working there, they closed in march. re-opened drew road in mississauga.
They get your phone number from ballots that were filled out in 2005 and were sold to them/ or the phone book. they also have a auto dialer which guesses your number.
The people who work there (telemarketers) do not know they are working for a scam company, best thing to do is speak to FRANK ALTIMARIE, which is the owner, voice your opinion to him, tell him that you know that he owes people money and that your not interested, and report to police.

Not sure if you are referring to my post but if you are, I don't understand your animosity. I was merely pointing out what I've seen on tv and seeing that I don't know you, and I don't know whether you have any warrants out for your arrest, I was just pointing out what is a I've seen. If that offended you, I don't understand how. It certainly wasn't my intention and there was nothing rude about my post. Oh well, such is life.

I wasn't refering to the person who mentioned the warrents or wondered if my house would be shipped to nigera ect.. In fact I found all of the responses well intentioned and a few very amusing except for one. I was refering to the person who labled my post as a waste of internet space. I simply thought that it was a classless comment. I see however that the comment was removed so I guess the moderater of this site is doing an excellent job. Thanks to all and I appreciate all of the legitimate concern. As I said I'll give up the real scoop tomorrow. Thanks again all and keep up the good work. It's nice to see a community of people working together to help keep the world safe from scammers. I just joined this site but am already a BIG fan.

Well I attended the meeting. It's not an out and out scam but a very high pressure selling meeting to get you to buy their membership. What they don't tell you is one of the prizes (which everyone really wins) is a 2 nite 3 day vacation in NORTH AMERICA. Flight ,taxes, port fees ect. aren't included. I don't know of anyone who one a tv, money or a cruise. So not an out and out scam but be prepared to be PRESSURED PRESSURED PRESSURED. I walked out not wanting to waste any more time.

Hi Everyone
thanks for taking the time for your posts re Premium Buyers Club as it's saved me a couple of hours of time
from what I read on your posts, it would seem a waste of time for me to take this club up on their offer to go to 1510 Drew Road, unit 6, Mississauga, sit through what they are claiming will only be 60 - 90 minutes of my time for all the award ceremony and for a presentation of their club benefits and then get the opportunity to win one of 5 prizes:
1) 3 days, 2 nights at Las Vegas (air fare, hotels, food, taxes, incl)
2) a similar duration at Orlando, Florida, Niagara Falls, or Cancun Mexico (air fare, hotel, food incl) --- gee --- Niagara Falls --- how did that get in there -- how could that compare with the other trips --- gee --- I wonder which one I'd be like to win --- duh
3) 7 day Alaskan cruise for 2 adults
4) 42" TV
5) $1500 Canadian cash
the people phoning have all been male with what seem to be very south Asian accents but they all have very anglo names (James Anderson, Sean David ... yeh right)
the phone # they call me from (905) 368-5217 does not come up in a reverse phone search and when I call the number I get the message "we're sorry, your call can not be completed as dialled. Pls check the number..."
the phone # they gave me to call them back on (416) 628-9766 did get answered by a live person who does NOT answer with any company name and then I spend a long time waiting to get transferred to all sorts of people. When I called it back an hour later, it just goes to an anonymous voice mail.
It also does not come up in reverse phone searches.
they gave me an url of www.pbcinc.ca which jumps directly to www.premiumbuyers.net which does actually have a legitimate looking website which does not trigger a Windows/Internet 8 web warning.
But since part of my freelance work involves web design, I know one can make a lot of things look legitimate with good website design.
this whole thing doesn't even sound like it'd be a fun waste of time :(
in my case I was requested a number of times to bring 2 pieces of photo ID ... did not like that and asked them why.
many of their answers on all things seem rather vague.
and they really wanted me to bring my husband.
I've cancelled my 4 pm appointment after reading the various posts.
I'm curious to know if anyone else has attended one of their award ceremonies/selling pitch?

I got a similar same call. It's all scam and seems to be picking up steam lately. So long as people are stupid enough to go, or worse actually buy into their snake oil, these guys will continue to operate.
