Hello there - Can you tell me if this is a good deal on the 08 Suzuki SX4 Sedan Sport - 0% financing for 72 months at $23,000. I am entirely new to car shopping...and with all the car specials going on I don't want to make a mistake and jump at this if it is not a good deal.....

Is 23000 a good price for the Suzuki SX4 sedan sport?
Is the Suzuki SX4 Sedan a good car to begin with? or should I be thinking of a Hyundai (0% at 36 months)? How do these two cars compare?

I know the Honda is fantastic but it may be way out of my budget...how does the price on the 08 or 09 Honda compare

Any advice or ideas or help I can get, I will appreciate...
thx millions

I don't think that is a great price.

The 2009 SX4 sedan sport with automatic and fully loaded is $20,445. So, I'm guessing they gave you the price with tax included. I bet that the dealership could be haggled down a bit more. I would say at least another $500, if not more.

FWIW, I've gotten the SX4 hatchback as a rental car a few times and I've been impressed with it. Pretty fun car to drive and fit and finish was pretty good for that range of cars. The one thing I didn't like was the stadium or upright seating position but it does free up a lot of room.

The SX4 rental drove better then the Elantra rentals I've gotten. IMO, I would take the SX4. I think the SX4 is a little gem of a car. However, Hyundai has a bigger dealer network, seems to be moving upward and the dealer experience seems to be progressing as well.

I think the '09 SX4 sedan sport come with navigation as standard.

For less than what you go quoted, you can get into a 2009 Honda Civic DX-G (if its a cash deal). If you are financing then its just a few $$ above what you were quoted!!!

Hi Guys
Thanks for your replies...whew this car buying thing is really stressful....my negotiating skills are nil-to-none but these dealers have not budged on price at all even when I try...the way they are behaving you would not even suspect that the economy is bad right now. Apparently Suzuki and Subaru sales are doing quite well (not sure)....but they are not budging and hardly want to negotiate....

the SX4 08 model has 0% financing which makes it attractive....it is also fully loaded (except for the navigation system)....

And hardly anyone in Toronto seems to drive Suzukis (particularly the SX4) - I wonder why that is?

Suzuki isn't a popular brand in North America. Although, they seem to be making decent cars now.

Are there any other Suzuki dealerships you can talk too?

Do this...

Call around or go to other Suzuki dealerships in the province, give them the quote that you recieved and ask that dealership to beat it.

To be honest, I see more of the SX4 hatchback around but I have seen an SX4 sedan.

Camber that is a very good idea - I intend to do this immediately after work...i.e call around and see if they will go lower on the price....excellent!
thank you very much for this idea!
